I was surpirsed they were announced so low, but, thinking about it, their new album did only spend around two weeks in the charts. I don't think any of the singles even charted either.

I'll be seeing them.. one of my favourite indie bands actually.

'Shock Horror' was one of the decent singles i heard this year. Its fun.. their fun! Surprised they aren't higher up to be honest.

Brand new probably have more hardcore fans which is why their tours sell more tickets but fromt he fact that the view sell more albums and have had more radio airplay I suspect they will pull in more of the mainstream fans.

Surprised to see them - their stock has gone way down in recent years. Did anyone actually buy their second album? Bigger surprise to see them on the Radiohead day though - they'd fit a lot better clumped with Ian Brown & The Courteeners.

Exactly. Plus the fact that the audience at Reading and Leeds are more likely to want to see The View than Brand new in my opinion becuase they prefer that style of music.

I've never really listened to them, but at the same time have never really had anyone say - oh, listen to these guys - they're great. A band of such stature of whom I've hardly heard a positive thing about doesn't bode well imo.

Went to see them last week, absolutely ace live band. Great addition to the line up.

To me the view are a good early afternoon festival band to enjoy a beer to. They arent going to change the world but can play a few decent pop songs. I will probably watch if they dont clash with anyone.

Not a fan to be honest but compared to the other bands playing at a similar time such as The Courteeners, The View are a much better choice.
