camping in dairy grounds

this year me and the mates have decided to camp in dairy ground, never done it before but it seems to me to be abit hilly, anyone have any pictures or stories that can reassure me im not going to be sleeping at 45degrees? also is it as much of a mission away from places as it seems?

if it sounds like i should just camp somewhere else and stop worrying then you might have a point, but im thinking/hoping dairy ground will take longer to fill up and that would help with having a big enough pitch

I did last year. A bit quiet and far from other places, but not too bad. Land is flat and it's great for finding a spot , plenty of space.

Camped there last year, was a nice place to camp. If you don't mind a bit of a walk to stuff, then I would recommend it.

It's not too bad if you're starting your day at The Other stage. You can hear it from your tent and it's a fairly short stroll. (also not terrible for Dance Village and the Park)

Flat for sleeping but enough of a hill to run off if it gets rainy.

You get to dump your stuff and get your tent up pretty much as soon as you get through the gate if you come in that way.

The loos stayed good all weekend.

It's reasonably quiet at night so not for all night party people. Persoanlly I prefer to do my all night partying elsewhere and be back at the tent just to sleep.

I liked it but I heard it may be family camping this year?

We always stay there because we're a big group with lots of tents to put up in close proximity so it's good for us and not too far from anywhere on the west side of the site.

Camped for years and years up by the nature centre until 07 they pushed us right to the edge of the site so Dairy Ground for the first time last year. Plenty of space to be found (on Wednesday), near the park and other stage - we're back there again this year which is probably nuff said!
