enter some competitions. i did, and i won two VIP tickets! despite already having tickets!! and before you ask, no, you cant have my spare ones. ;)

i think the orange spot the bull competition has a couple of days left to run..

Good luck, but in all reality i'd just start saving up for next year!

Only two options........win it or work it.

There are numerous competitions out there for winning tickets.....try Spot the Bull, Guardian site , Q mag or just put in a search on google.

Working wise you need to either get in touch with Glastonbury direct ( long shot) and ask for steward details....there may be a few drop offs and spaces may come up. You can also find out details of bars or other outlets that are looking to take on staff.

All very much a long shot but if you are that desperate you will give it a go......otherwise its watch it on telly.

If you entered Spot the Bull, you could make an email addresses for each square, that means that you have 100% chance of being entered into the draw, and therefore a chance winning. However I imagine that to change you're chances of being 'pulled out of the hat', you would have to put 20 email addresses on each square... depends how much you want that chance really. ;)

Okay so lets assume you become the luckiest person alive and you win a ticket. With no cash how are you going to pay your way when you get in ? Much of the festival is about giving not taking.

Numerous charities benefit from Glasto goers as well as the local community. We all go to spend money there buy buying the food and merchandise and to donate to all the worthy causes (forgive the pun). It is not solely about YOU and your entertainment.

Do the right thing save up for next year and then spend spend spend and stop being selfish.

Yes it does. Planning on not spending any cash. How ? I take it you will be relying on other peoples charity ?

I go to other festivals too, more commercial ones in which charitites are far far less involved. If he wanted a free ride into V festival for example I would probably help him out as best I can.

Glastonbury is different, very different. It has a very different ethos. Lets get together have a great time and do our bit to help the community and the world.

The OP in opinion is wanting a totally free ride for his own ends and wants us to tell him how to do it.

This I feel is selfish by the definition below.

1. devoted to or caring only for oneself; concerned primarily with one's own interests, benefits, welfare, etc., regardless of others.

There are tons of ways to get a ticket without paying for it and even more ways to get through the festival without spending a single penny of your own money....thats why there are so many tickets left

....honestly don't know why anyone bothers buying one to be honest. Can't believe I saved all my hard earned cash so I can have a weekend having fun when I all I had to do was get in for free and live of someone else all weekend.

Oh hang on a minute, I've just remembered, I'm not a parasite.

Buy a ticket or work it, not hard at all is it.

Totally agree JodiB and I think I speak for every true Glastonbury attendee (like you do) that the reason we go back every year is to try and save the world. Yeah of course we may have a bit of fun while we're there, but knowing that the world is a better place afterwards is what fills us up with joy. It's also great because if I go to Glastonbury I know I've done my bit and don't have to give any more money to charity. In fact you should have seen the smug look on my face when I was at the supermarket the other day and there was a little old lady collecting change for Help the Aged. Just simply said "No thanks love, I've been to Glastonbury" and breezed right by, sure put her in here place. Oh how I do love being so righteous.

Yes this post was sarcastic before anyone bothers to take me to task
