First time - where best to camp?

Hi guys im a first time goer to glasto and were going down on the wednesday. Where is the best place to camp if possible? looking for somewhere that is convenient, but open to suggestions for beauty spots etc...

How far is the walk from the car parks as well? looking to take a lot of beer and worried about heavy long trips back and forth

man up and carry as much as you can if not all of it, where to camp depends on how many of you are going and what time you get there

Camp right in front of the pyramid stage. It's got convenient access to the pyramid stage and you'll be woken up for free at about 10am every morning so you don't miss any of the festival!

I always camp at the Woodies or woodsies or what ever its called. Its right next to Gate A is really quite and is slightly on a hill so doesn't flood.

Anyone i know who has been in penard hill has said its full of bell ends and last year had security searching tents for drugs and stuff.

Camp in an area as quiet as possible would be my advice.

I've only been to one festival which was last year and I camped in Pennards near the bottom. There was a good atmosphere around the place. Think i'm planning on Kidney Mead this year.

Wicket Grounds alright if you want some sleep and it on a hill, if you want to party then pennard hill it is.

Thanks. Couldn't think of anything worse than being surrounded by the ubber cool set on pennard hill. Would rather camp somewhere quiet with my mates.

I was up at Pennards last year. Didn't see anyone searched, we were a sensible bunch in our mid-late thirties, and were surrounded by similar nice folk .....

Yes me too we were about half way up Pennards on the left as you look at it and it was great, busy and social but no hassle. The other good place is under the pylons lol nothing like your hair sticking up on end and crazy dreams!

4 years in the woodsies for me and never had a spot of bother and you can get twice as much room as most other spots

That's funny, i spoke to a guy who camped in woodsies last year and he said it was full of square bell-ends who didn't know how to have a laugh at a festival

This is pretty useless advice if you don't want to be in a quiet campsite. Some people actually go to glasto to party.
