glasto_mongrel_2008
I don't mean to kill the happy excited mood by asking this, I'm just curious. Has anyone had a bad Glasto ? By bad I mean one that you regret going to. If so, did it put you off for future years?

bombfrog
2005 Storms would have been the closest to a "bad glasto" I suppose but I still loved it.
glasto_mongrel_2008
By the way, I don't mean for personal reasons like bereavements or illness or owt, just have you ever been and not enjoyed it under normal circumstances

travelling mr pastry
not myself but on the coach home last year there was some teenage drama in the seats infront, it appeared that one of the girls boyfriends or exes had either hooked up at glastonbury or had been in a relationship with one of her mates for a while and it had all been exposed during the festival, the girl who had been f**ked over was in floods. that and the mdma/10 bottles of that mocha coffee shit they had in the que kept me up for the whole journey home. so not myself, ive loved every minute, but those guys friendships were pretty f**ked after the fest id say
amfy
Odd moments when whoever I was with pissed me off, but generally no such thing as a bad Glasto. I think the reason so many people say theres no problem with going on your own is that when there is so much to do, and so much freedom to do it, and you can make friends at every step, the people you went with can end up being a bit of a nusiance quite honestly!!! Bradders
My dad didn't enjoy Glasto 2007 (doesn't like mud), but he enjoyed staying at home 2008 even less so he's back this year

pie_and_a_pint
Not really. I ended up in quite a lot of pain (agony, tbh) 2007 becuase of a combination of mud and a dodgy knee, so that was pretty horrible and by the Sunday night I was happy to be going home soon. I still have the poorly knee but it's not put me off!
Rolf Harris
had glandularfever in 2005 and the quack gave me antibiotics that i was allergic to. didn't have a proper beer until the sunday.

gracious
I think it is the constant annoyance of trying to please other people sometimes...when I just want to chill out and have a laugh. I missed some of 2005, but I had a complete random encounter with a group of people who looked after me because I was upset (mainly because I had too much to drink) but it was incredibly nice of them to do that. Nothing else sticks out since then...The line up in 2003 and 2004 made those years extra special.

kloot
Never ever ever regretted going - but 2007's weather combined with camping with a girl who I was in the process of basically breaking up with meant it was conspicuously worse than others. Tugger2k
But there is no other festival like it. Although it's better in the dry, I even love the wet years - I tend to avoid the more crowded and muddy areas and see more interesting stuff. When it's dry I find it hard to not see too many bands. coastal
the mud/rain of 2007 combined with a bastard sorethroat. I could hardly speak and had to order salt solution drinks from the coffee stand to stop me from going home early. no, actually i think i did leave early. A bad one wouldn't stop me going though, that way lies madness.
