Free-range fetival warm up tonight -

I entered a competition to win tickets for The Freerange festival which is starting next year in Southampton - or so I thought.

I have won tickets for a warm up gig tonight at The Orange Room in Southampton.....but I live in Birmingham and the only person i know in Southampton is my dad who iis 73 - I have asked but this is not quite his thing!

If anyone in Southampton would like to pm me 2 names I can put you on the guest list.

LCD Soundsystem (Disco DJ set)

Grammy nominated LCD Soundsystem is the musical side project of producer James Murphy of dance-punk label DFA Records. The music of LCD Soundsystem can also be described as a mix of dance and post punk, along with elements of disco and other styles. The band’s second release “Sound of Silver” achieved album of the year from Drowned In Sound and The Guardian and left their audience eagerly awaiting their next album.

The Bays (Live)

The Bays manifesto of pure improvisation and raw creative synergy is causing major tremors at all levels of the music industry. Consisting of some of the industry's finest session musicians that have worked with the likes of the Spice Girls and Madonna,they have ripped up the rulebook and debunk musical convention wherever they play, impressing the likes of the late John Peel as they go.

Birdpen (Live)

Birdpen formed in 2004 and refuse to say where they actually come from, because what is the point and what difference, no really, does it make to whether you like their music or not? They refer to home as The Village. Do they mean the ‘global village’, Village of the Damned or something else? Who knows, they won’t reveal.

Mouj (DJ set)

Starting off his dj career as a willing understudy to some of the UK's most established and pioneering dj's, Mouj has found his roots in the underground after hour's scene. This is not to say that he cannot rock a main room, as his residency at legendary south coast night Release prove!

Anyway - probably more of a promotion than prize but if anyone wants to go let me know.
