You should be able to convince the monorail guard that your badger companion is Badger, and you are taking him to meet Bodger, so he should get free travel. If in doubt take some mashed potato.

Various places do "one size doesn't really fit at all" ponchos, am sure these will work as well on a badger as on anyone else.
