Sorry to spoil all the fun you lot are having but I thought the OP had a very valid question. Theiving is one of my main concerns and I'm sure there's plenty of others who worry about having their tents robbed. It's just not nice and makes you feel violated. It goes against the very ethos of Glastonbury and is just plain uncool.

Anyway let me categorically state that I know for a FACT that the increase in crime last year was due to the presence of Jay-Z. Before any of you lot cry "Racist" you should know that I actually caught the f**ker rummaging in my tent late on the Saturday night after he'd finished his set on the Pyramid stage. He made the usual "Sorry mate, wrong tent" excuse and moved on. I thought nothing much at the time, it seemed a fair enough mistake to make, and anyway I had nothing of value in there so wasn't too concerned. It was only when I got back home that I noticed my souvenir Glastonbury T-Shirt was missing. To rub further salt in to the wound he's been blatently wearing it out in public lately.

So in summary, relax everyone crime won't be such an issue this year without that theiving bastard in attendance

Actually, I'm getting a bit cheesed off at how us scum are being stereotyped and given a bad name by all you 'non-scum.'

It's sickening! Us scum are treated with as much respect as though we were a film of impurities floating atop a liquid mass.

Quite frankly, it's just not on!

i dont really understand the logic behind the thefts being linked to tickets being slow to sell out and a few being sold at the last minute with no pictures on them ;) did the theives think 'right eavis i'll buy one of these tickets you're so bloody desperate to get shot of but im gonna rob tents all weekend and get the full value out of it!' surely the organised gangs would have been trying like mad on t day to make sure they got tickets and wouldn't miss out on putting their criminal plans into action?

Hi,

I'm a newbie to the site, its my second Glastonbury, and Id just like to say hello to everyone, and wish them a Happy Glastonbury 2009!!

I've just got a quick question:

Last year at the end of the weekend I found that I had a lot of rubbish.. cans, cardboard, water bottles. etc. However, I didn't take advantage of the 'Trash City' facility, and I was thought this year that I would. I was just wondering if when you leave rubbish (or should I say trash) in Trash City does it need splitting between recyclable and non-recyclable 'trash'? Also do I need to bring my own plastic bin bags, or they will be provided at the festival site?

:D

They're going to be doing an intimate show on a hidden stage inside one of the exclusive Tipis in the Tipi fields. It will be sometime on the Saturday. Times can't be given out as there would be too many people trying to crowd in to the Tipi. I suggest you spend the Saturday searching Tipis until you find them.
