Offical secrets act tickets

Hi,

My glastonbury link here is tenuous, but i have won some tickets (2) to see official secrets act play the NME Festivals launch party tonight, at the o2 academy in Islington. I can't go because i have exams tomorrow. Official secrets act are playing, I saw them play a little while back, and they were great.

So...I am going to have a mini charity auction here, state how much you are willing to donate to Water Aid, and the highest bidder at 4pm today, gets the tickets. Obviously you actually have to make the donation, not just be willing.

I completely agree that there are too many people in the world, but to kill them off through dehydration?? I think that that is a little extreme, we should support those that are alive until we figure out how to solve our problems.

Would you be willing to stop drinking for the sake of humanity?

Come on guys, you can do better than this. £15 is reasonable, but i'm sure there're more of you out there with nothing to do tonight, and some money to donate to charity. If you don't know who they are, myspace or spotify them, they haven't released much, but lightbulbs is a fantastic song

For the chap who said theres too many people in the world, I do agree. However letting them dehydrate is a very very bad way to go although your not personally dehydrating them.

I believe that perhaps people in these countries should stop breeding so they arent in such a position so they dont have to feed and water 6 children per family then themselves and i also believe that in some way the heat is the worlds natural way of telling us that its too hot for humans to live in these countries now.

Alternately, YOU could stop breeding, and living beyond the means of our planet, because if you lived a life as frugal as even some of the better off people in much of Africa, then the surplus generated by your lack of consumption could feed, water, clothe and educate many people in poverty.

Yes, there is a major issue with over population, but unless you live as someone considerate to the environment and population, then it is not for you to say what those in poverty should be doing with their lives.

I haven't been able to get a reply out of the guy who put down the bid, so unless he gets in touch with me within the next half hour, then i'll send the tickets to whoever gets the next post down. A donation would be great, but I have no use for them, so i'd prefer some nice glastonbury goer used them than just not using them.
