Like a lot of people, my worst moment of Glastonbury was Monday morning 2007.......pulling our sack truck through the mud (with a v.heavy tent on it), absolutely soaked and v.tired.......it was hell. :D So pleased that I put spare clothes in the car - I was so soaked that I did a full strip in the car not caring who saw me! :D

That said, 2007 was one of my best Glastonburys and the horror of that trek to the car didn't stop me getting tickets for 2008 the moment they went on sale! :)

Waking up in the cinema field after the oasis flick in 2007 at about 3am. Freezing cold in the rain, just me and my mate sat there. Had to trek back to pennards whilst freezing our nuts off, feet aching like hell trudging through the mud. Hangover from hell kicking in...wasn't fun at all. I was actually dreading the next day.

like many others it has to be the evening/morning of sunday 07. it was my first glastonbury, and despite being so excited i managed to deal with the mud throughout the festival, waiting for the coaches was hellish. i remember just shoving my backpack in the mud anyway as i couldn't be bothered holding it any more. i think i cried, and when the coach finally arrived i had a piss next to it, not really caring who was watching.

2007 again, although the weather didn't fuss me too much!

I took a pill a bit too early on the Saturday night, came up in the middle of the crowd on the railway track, unable to move more than 2mph, then spent the rest of the night having panic attacks, which still affect me to this day :D I've just stuck to the cider since then strangely enough....

I can't say the rain or mud has ever counted as my worst moment at Glastonbury. Apart from leaving it would have to be petty rows with g/fs, like me wanting to stay up and party and her wanting to go to bed early or me being worried they weren't enjoying themselves.

I'm happy to be going single this year! :D

it was last year, on the friday afternoon.

i'd been in 1993 (when 16) and loved it, but just never got around to it again, felt that now i was too old (i know, i know, don't crucify me :D ) and that it would be now a different clientele, but my wife had never been and was determined to go last year. so we're at the pyramid stage and it starts to p#ss down. a group of half a dozen a#sholes (looked like football hooligans, and as a premier league season ticket holder, i'm allowed to say that) stop behind us, throwing their empty cans on the floor and kicking them at my feet. i ignored it because i'm with the wife. then trudged over to the jp to see the ting tings, and get stuck behind two blokes towards the back of the tent threatening to kick the shit out of each other. i just remember thinking, as the rain came down, i knew i wasn't cut out for this anymore.

the ting tings were awesome, the rain stopped an hour later, and not only did i not come across another w#nker for the whole weekend, everyone was bloody lovely, as lovely if not lovelier than 1993. needless to say, see you all in two weeks!

You shouldn't encourage non-toilet urination! It's wrong and minging - if you'd decided to do that it will have been because you were in the middle of a crowd and if you were in the middle of a crowd, other peoples would have got some splashback and probably some around their feet too (and if it was good weather there might not have been welly protection).

The hideous 'Make Poverty History' bollocks and the constant pushing down the throat about various causes in between acts on the Other Stage (whatever happened to music????)almost sent me crackers.

Worst moment at Glasto was 2007, dancing to Raja Ram on the G Stage when a stuart security guard walked up to my face and said I am security, give me that <pointed at a long cigarette I was smoking> I refused and had a go at him at which point he backed down...really killed the vibe tho and took a while to put it out of my mind..

After the Raja set, I was rolling a long cigarette in ID Spiral and another security guard came up to me, this was one was nice tho and introduced herself as an undercover hippy, essentially she told me not to roll long cigarettes around the dance area as some security were acosting people and 'taxing them'...

At that point, with Dreadzone due on in 20 mins, we hightailed it back to the Smallworld and stayed there for the remainder of the festival...

Really came away from the festival feeling it had changed for the worse again (gave up for 5 years after 2000).... :D

Worst moment has to be Friday morning 2005.

Camped at the foot of Pennard Hill during the flood we bore the brunt of the water which was bad enough, but the lowest point was stood in the Chinese/All Day Breakfast tent soaking wet, breathing the greasy moist hot air along with 100s of others - For 5 mins I seriously considered going home.

Anyway, we all sorted ourselves out & had a good festival, but 2005 was just not as good as the others for me.
