I'm heading up the festival on wednesday, but my cars MOT runs out on friday. Is there anywhere on the site I can get it MOT'd ready for the journey home on monday. I heard that

sometimes you can get a cheaper service at the same time as they already have the car on ramps

Im sure the Monorail mechanics have an MOT station near the cow shed

i'm pretty sure you can get your cat MOTed up to two (or even four??) weeks before the due date without the due date being lost. so get it done before you go!

An MOT can be carried out at any time

If the vehicle is tested within the calendar month prior to when the MOT is due, the test certificate will run from the date of the test to one year after the expiry date of the current certificate. For example, if the current certificate was due to expire on 1 April 2007, and the vehicle was presented on or after 2 March 2007, the certificate would run from the test date until 1 April 2008.

Great, do you recon you'll have to pre book?? I heard you can't just turn up and wait anymore (something to do with they have to take a certain length of time for the test).

Also if you have it pre-booked I think you can still legally drive there if your MOT has run out, just in case they are fully booked on the friday,

no no just turn up on the day and they'll squeeze you in, only takes a couple of hours so you can pop into marks and spencers and do a bit of shopping and then get a bite to eat in mcdonalds, should be ready by then and you can take it down to the car wash over by the dance village if you're heading that direction... although wait til after 4pm or you will get stuck in the tailbacks with all the mums doing the school run
