I was at the front for ATD-I in the carling, Y2K singing along like a madman. I bought the album on promo (pre file-sharing) in june of that year and it didn't come out til after reading so I was just about the only person in the tent who knew the words to the relationship... songs.

The in casino out songs went down a storm as well tho.

Them, trail of dead, get up kids, rage, blink and QOTSA made the weekend extra special.

Shit I'm old!

If the do get back together it will be for the same reason as everyone from blur, ratm, the vereve, blink 182, take that and probably in the futrue the likes of libertines and stone roses and that will be to make money.I am a big fant of atdi but undoubtedly finance is the driving factor behind most bands reforming. I think they may release a new album but realistically their sets will be veryv much relationship in comand heavy which i have no problem with.

i agree that most of the bands you mentioned got back for the money but i think its a tad unfair to put ATDI in this category.they are doing well as mars volta, touring large(ish) venues and releasing critically acclaimed albums that are selling well.all the otherbands you mentioned had careers that nosedived after they split and only got back together as you said for the cash.

Please never happen.

If the Smashing Pumpkins 'reunion' taught me anything it's that bands that had their time and created some special music should just leave it there. Yes, I enjoyed the SP 'reunion' shows I show, but in the long run billy has the tained the legacy.

ATDI are in my opinion one of the greatest bands to have ever existed. I'd argue that to the death and happily give 100000000 as to why. However, they are also a band who relied on the relentless energy of youth. I don't think after the proggery of The Mars Volta, the ATDI days can ever be recaptured.

i'd prefer them headlining a tent at download pls :D

wud rather not have to go to leeds again to watch em again! (saw em back in the day, bloody awesome band)

They'd surely headline the NME if they played, if Gossip can, and i don't care about their new album, i bet they've STILL only got one good song, then i'm positive that the gods of hardcore, and therefore all that is now classed as emo (love or hate that term) can do. They are just SO influential and deserving of a spot as the traditional legend headliner of the NME like manics were last yr and FNM are this yr.
