The Glasto has the usual but unhelpful 'Personal Consumption', how much is this judged to be, i'm trying to scrimp and save the pennies but using the bar as little as possible :)

Also, i read glass bottles are not allowed, i take it cans are okay? Otherwise it may have to be rum from plastic bottles all weekend

Last year I took:

- A bottle and a half of vodka decanted into plastic bottles with orange juice (about 10 bottles but it turned out I had made it very strong!)

- A bottle of white wine decanted

- A crate of beer to share with my boyfriend

This doesn't sound enough now I think about it, particularly as I was constantly drunk last year! My plans for this year are:

- Two bottles of vodka

- A crate of beer to share

- A bottle of Baileys

- A bottle of red wine

- A bottle of white wine

I took a box of white wine and a load of cans of G&T last year. I think this year I'll take a plastic bottle of G and buy the T from the 'yellow shop' on site, and take another box of wine too.

Don't worry about 'taking too much' - people take in loads of crates and no-one gets stopped.

if you are on a budget, take as much as poss with you. you still won't have taken enough and will spend some money at the bars. don't worry about getting it confiscated on the wat in. i work in the greenfields and always have a few vehicle passes. we take LOADS of beer in various vehicles ands its not a problem. if we were to be found with a lorry FULL of beer then they would confiscate it as it would obviously be for sale. ours is a large personal stash for our crew and it is fine. as "foot passengers " you really can take as much as you can carry with no problem. no glass bottles though.

I calculated that alcoholic liquids accounted for 20kg of what I was carrying in last year.

2 litres of rum and coke, mixed at home.

12 litres of cider

6 litres of wine.

My mate had similar. You can't beat the pre-mixed spirits route, to be honest. This year, I'll be doubling up to 4 litres of spirits and mixers.

Edit: and don't forget, you can get boxes of cider and wine, chuck the cardboard to one side at home and you then have handy, 3 litre sized bladders of booze to carry round with you. They fit almost any sized gap in your rucksack, too.
