It's a real shame to have lost Blue Dot in that respect and I think I would maybe forgo Glastonbury if that had continued - lineups suited me and friends (it was a festival even my husband would come to!), less than an hour to get there, 20,000 capacity so easy to navigate. We need to find an alternative but the North West is weirdly under-served by decent festivals (we're not interested in Kendal Calling).
also interested in more lineup news.... I'm hoping to go next year after not getting a Glasto ticket. Would go based on 3/4 bands from the first announcement but having listened to a lot of them, seems like a good lineup for the £! Would be interesting to see who headlines the other days.....
I'm as gutted as you believe me but the only reason you feel cheated this year is because you didn't get tickets. You didn't feel cheated last year when there was a bigger loophole and thousands got in.
It's unfortunate but sadly any system is going to be exploited in some way. It's up to us to evaluate how much we want to go and try our best to tip the scales in our favour as much as possible.
