So loving this thread - nostalgia, humour medication and prostheses all rolled into one!!!!

I'm 54 so a confirmed oldie, and returning to Glasto this year for 1st time since late 70's (the days of Gong and Steve Hillage). Oh and Knebworth '78 wiped the floor with '79 - Zappa, Boomtown Rats, Wilko Johnson and Peter Gabriel.

My first live gig was either Wishbone Ash or Soft Machine - Circa 1972.....Leeds Town Hall. Hence despite all the big names, its Curved Air on Thurs that I am most anticipating.

Weirdly enough I'm also well into the psy and will also be prioritising the artists you named as well as Shakira, Slash, Muse, System 7, Faithless, Flaming Lips and Devandra Barnhart. Any MILF that fancies a hot shower and a full cooked breakfast is welcome to come along for the ride!!!

I'll also be at Rolf Ray and Al, but I'm worried that there will be a lot of those younger chaps there, and it will be harder to find one another.

My first glasto was also 81. Back in them days you could bring your car right in to the campsite, and there weren't any mobile phones. Luxury. Rizlas were much smaller then.

Nik Turner has got two sets, but I reckon the best one will be the Space Ritual on Thursday night at the Hub. (One of those new bits near Shangrila).

I don't have a cloth cap but will have zimmer frame, a Morris 1000 and flared jeans.

Reckon it will a good place to get together considering NT's long association with the festival and he is hardly a 'Sping Chicken' nowadays either but I'm sure he will put on a good show.

Look out for me I will be in an eFest T shirt with my name on it but no flat cap though!
