The middle aged boarders may get the reference. This is the funniest title I could think of but it is a thank you to people like Lucy...Chaz, Norainplease, Hogga, various Mikes (sorry I can't be arsed).

For me this is going to be a cracking festival, and alot of that is due to people that put the hours in and organise shite. I have lead this thread with Lucy as she spent the time sorting all the meets. That is a laudable effort.

No one has to sort these meets, and these boards are free, and I think it is truely wonderful that people are willing to put that bit more in extra for our pleasure.

Not keeping up with the 5th gear organizings that are going on, but bravo indeed to those that are doing it all.

Now Rufus, do you realise there's another Rufus recently (re)appeared, Isle of Wight coverage, and a major irritant? Hopefully BBC have dropped him (he used to practice irritancy for their BBC3 Glasto coverage), but unavoidably thinking of you at times across this IOW coverage. :O

This will teach me to not spend a night on the boards...missed this one. Awww Rufus....you are very sweet and kind...

A big reason why the meets are coming together so easily is just cos YOU lot just know the score this year! Third Glasto on the trot means a lot of us returnees know what to expect, where to go, and cant wait to catch up with everyone we havent seen for up to a year. And cos of that, the noobies are feeling all relaxed about things too...has anyone seen any messages posted this year asking where and what meets are there going to be?...no...exactly...point proved...thank you! :rolleyes:

And as for the efforts of The World Cup organisers...we bow down before you in awe!

And to everyone who may be thinking there's too many meets...yes maybe...but when there are hundreds of us here in Emesster land, some of us do want to get together with a common causeof a particular show/artist/general meet up...and if things can be organised where we know where to get together for such purposes then so be it.

Love you all very very much and cant wait to see everybody and meet all the new folk after 51 weeks away from the greatest place on the planet...:)

Agreed, top post Rufus.

It is grand that people are arranging the various meets, great for people like myself heading to glasto on my todd.

Last year I was really worried if I was going to enjoy the festival as it was my 1st time on my todd, but thanks to all the great people I met from here, it was my best one yet...and now, that I know quite a few people having met people last year and in between, I have a feeling that this year is gonna be even better!

Heres to a great 10 days away! :unsure:
