pics going up soon, but the campsite, has no issues...........brilliant banter.

Wayne from the FLAMING LIPS did a signing at the carling tent, pure legend,

all acts performed brilliantly, and not typically, e.g. Just Jack....said....."it would be so easy to tell you all that you lot are great...but I humbly say, you lot destroy any crowd ive seen before....sorry for the kids, but f**king rock it!!!!"

Love the fest, love the site and hope you love my mini report.

Im home because of the rain, and because of the lack of my pills, incase you wondered.

dont give a shit about what the folk might have said, just watched a lot of the bands on the download stream (another +1 to download) and the crowd there is f**kin insane! even for the shit bands, id have loved to have been in it. seriously scored an own goal not going there this year.

based on the two years ive been, the crowds at rockness have been tame and shit.

at rockness? not that i know of.

just saying, i went on sunday last year, and even for a biggish band like the cribs, they got about 300 folk for mainstage crowd, giving shite feedback.

watched bands like down and devildriver on the download stream, early afternoon getting crowds of tens of thousands and them just going nuts for it. seriously, download is getting done next year. just hope its half as good a line up as this year. luckily its all shite on the webcast the morra so i can do other stuff the morra :O

Im not gonna bullshit, i dont know the names of who I saw half the time.....

just jack was great, saw a bit of basement Jaxx, but for me Orbital raced staright into belfast and tied the crowd upin a single bow.

Flaming lips last night were incredible with their confetti, balloons and teletubbies, yes at the side of the stage with torches, lol, .

when I see more I will tell you more, love you all.

Just got back about an hour or so ago - working first thing in the morning. Had a brilliant time. The weather has been absolutely scorchio, apart from really heavy rain for about an hour yesterday afternoon (I think it was in the afternoon :( ) There will be a lot of sore red people and cases of sunstroke I predict. Highlight for me was Basement Jaxx - I think that was one of the best things I've ever seen. Also Alabama 3 are always good but were really good yesterday. The Flaming Lips I ended up a bit meh about. That was the band I was really desperate to see, hadn't seen them live before - but I think I maybe prefer listening to them on cd rather than seeing them. Seeing Wayne in his bubble at the beginning was great but the teletubbies got on my nerves a bit by the end - if it was ME I would have only had them on for one or two songs. But I still think Wayne seems like a really good bloke, even if some of what he was saying was a bit cheesy.

Also loved the Aliens, the Whip, Super Furry Animals, missed Frightened Rabbit (missed a few things really) and the Rizla Bus was great, specially jazzy b's set.

Thought the setting and the layout was really good. Atmosphere was great. I do know what Ampersand means - it's still primarily a dance crowd that go I reckon - which is not my main thing - and the crowds for bands were often quite small really. (calm down though Ampersand :D )

Had a fantastic time anyway - met various efestivallers also some good people camped next to us - there was quite a bunch in and around the efest camp. There will probably be a few stories to be told by the returners in the next day or two - including one involving a shoe and vomit.

Finally really sad to hear that someone had died, a tragedy while we were all having fun and excitement. Poor guy.

Cracking weekend, saw so many great bands.

Alabama 3, Orbital (awesome), Aliens, Flaming Lips, Detroit Social Club, The Whip, Japanese Popstars, Soulwax, Special Disco Version, were all awesome.

Spoke to James Murphy last night, what a top bloke!

First time i'd been to Rockness. Thought it was good in the respect that you could get right down the front for any band, as opposed to T in the Park. The setting is also awesome and there was a good atmosphere and it's a good size!

As mentioned earlier it seems to be a more dance orientated festival as there were some terrible crowds for 'bands'.

This did mean I got right down the front for Placebo, which was awesome.

Soulwax playing a total lack of any songs was a bit of a disappointment. And the Pendulum DJ set was a bit EHHHHHHHHHH??????? (looking forward to seeing them at T).

Overall a good day out, but i'm shattered and sunburnt at work.

Ow. Just ow. On bus to Edinburgh now, and I have a monumental case of the beer fear! The weekend was superb. Good to meet a few Efests people again, as well as some shiny new ones. As usual Efestivals people proved themselves to be universally ace!

Personal highlights were flaming lips, soulwax, DSC and the prodigy, but most things I saw were top.

Photos coming soon.
