there probably will be some kind of tranklement to help distinguish us sad and lonely bodlings from those sporting stick on moustaches, feather boas and cowboy hats...although....the lack of stick on tashes on us may warrant no need for tranklement. Nothing in your face, over the top or ridiculous though whatsover.

hello all!

having much fun reading this thread. well done lucy for your efforts. i organised a singles do a few years ago and wanting to avoid the whole speed dating thing, or having people standing around too shy to talk me and my mate came up with a list of random questions (best gig, worst date, big brother or newsnight, 33x45 etc) and asked everyone to get an answer for one of the questions form as many people as they can. possibly a bit too much effort for a bunch of drunk people in a field, but it worked as out of 26 people, 2 couples are still dating four years later!

hope to see you all if i can get the courage up ( i guess cider could help with that!)

I have one final question before I leave you all and its actually all happening in under a weeks time...

how many are REALLY going to drag their sorry arses along?

I will be at the Cider Bus Meet from 6pm, clipboard in hand hopefully with a list of short silly questions for those involved to help things move along nicely and an ickle item that will indicate to others around you that you indeed are sad and lonely and looking for a cuddle/dance/a sweaty end to the night in someone else's tent/marriage/babies...ok ok...you know what I mean!!

If you are interested in coming even if its just for a boogie and a laugh...from about 8.45pm, start to gravitate towards the lovely people obviously heading out on the Gay Meet. You know what to look for!

To find me...I'll look ever so dashing in me fluoro yellow vest thang...emblazoned with glitter rainbows, Red Triangles, Efest dancing man and me name in fridge magnets sewn on the back...subtlety??? It's my middle name!!!

We will be following and joining the Gay Meet along to the NYC Downlow if I am correct. The party may evolve into something more, who knows but the afterparty will be at Altern8 at the Dance Lounge (?) from 2am!

I will categorically state now...I havent got a bloody clue how or if this will work...but it's going to be fun finding out isnt it?

Apologies if yours truly is a wee bit squiffy when this thing gets going...will have been out on the Real Ale Trail since midday!
