I get the feeling they chose an artist at random to give the title to. I think King Monkey deserves better than to have a label applied to him which has, in the past, been given to the likes of Plain White T's and Bullet For My Valentine.

Kind of strange when he was fully announced during the initial line-up release.

he should be above maximo park atleast, hes so special to them that hes not even above maximo park and hes named special guest after months and proabably becuase they lost thier initial special guest!.

still cant wait for seeing him, his solo stuffs pretty cool,but hop he whips out good few classic stone roses songs,and his voice is on good form that day,though when im in the crowd with a beer and not watching him on youtube hele sound better im sure.

To be honest I think Ian Brown could just about get away with 2nd headlining. He should have been stuck under Radiohead, but let's not allow logic to stop FR from booking Bloc Party to play the same slot yet again.

Whatever though, as long as he's not being stingy with the Roses classics (like he apparently was at V and TITP last year - He only played one at each fest) I'm not complaining.

Ian would definitely be better in the R1 tent, headlining. We definitely wont be seeing Reni, Mani would be nice though!

saw him few years ago headline the tent. Wasn't very good tbh. Band was tight but he just can't sing. And what's with those weird 'beatbox' noises he always makes?
