Dance Stage

In my opinion this is a very poor set of acts - there is some radio friendly grime acts, some radio friendly D'n'B and some radio friendly house in the form of Deadmau5. I am gutted because I was hoping for a decent Dance Stage line-up - but I suppose it now means I won't have to think about potential clashes.

I would have been happy with at least one bonafide decent electro act like Simian or Digitalism but I'm sorry Lady Sov, Chipmunk and the frankly terrible Chase and Status is pretty weak.

Of course that's just my opinion and I'm sure people will have their own ideas but when you see the amount of money thrown at other stages throughout the weekend it doesn't really stack up.

Chase and Status are the only ones I would really want to see though to be honest there aren't as many as usual that I have even heard of.

And To be honest I'm not certain I've heard of the headliner either and I keep an eye on dance music although clearly not a very good eye! Listened and quite liked though.

After having a good look its probably the best Dance stage line up since 2006 when 2manydjs headlined

Its given me the worse clash ever with Deadmou5 and Radiohead:(

Acts I will deffinately try to go and see

Deadmou5

Chase And Status

The Qemists

The Crystal Method (just to take me back to the ninities with NOW IS THE TIME)

L’AMOUR LA MORGUE - As im intreeged with the secret?

Quick query for someone familiar with line-up times...

Would it be possible for one to see Crystal Castles in NME, head over to the Dance Tent for Chase+Status, MSTRKFT and a bit of Vitalic, and then get to Main Stage before the end of Bloc Party's set (eg. in time for the swap over before Radiohead)?

On paper it looks possible, but do the stages alter in their lineup/headliner times?

SO SO SO SO SO VERY ANNOYED. Anyone else feel my pain?

For the last 3/4 years the dance tent has been complete and utter crap. The last few years were absolute piss takes in comparison to previous years. In fact, it the tent was merely a stage to shove lots of the popular 'dance punk/indie dance' on (bands who would of been better suited to the R1 tent).

However, this year...the lineup is a gem.

Deadmau5 = One of the greatest progressive house DJ's around.

Vitalic = Immense DJ. His music were the sound to the our first year flat parties!

MSTRKRFT = 'Electro House' (a confused term used for acts like Teenage bad girl, boys noize, Para one etc) only really peaked last year in the big cities for us students, then died pretty quick. Mstrkrft was one of the most mainstream of these acts, and put out a great record.

Chase and Status = Some of the most imagintive D and b around.

The Crystal Method = Hugely influencial act from the 90s, AMAZING.

However, all of these clash with the only bands (aside from KOL & Placebo) I want to see REALLY all weekend = brand new, vamp weekend, yeah yeah yeahs, bloc party and Radiohead.

I am sick as a dog over this :D!!!

Amazing line-up! It's probably saved the festival for me, I've not heard too much Deadmau5 but what i have heard i've liked, I've been waiting for ages to catch Vitalic and Crystal Method are amazing and quite crazy live. Even the stuff lower down looks good with a few exceptions. Mix Hell and The Quemists should be good. Although they seem a bit like a hipster band I'm really looking forward to 3Oh3.

All in all I'm very happy with the Dance stage.
