Hi all

This is my first post here and in fact my first ever Glastonbury which i am going to spend working.

My shifts are in Club Dada..

Anyone else care to give details of where theyre are working and please post tips to help others get thorugh their shifts

I'm not a steward but i'll be litter-picking at the Pyramid Stage. Last year i was in the recycling centre. Getting the whole gang singing was a good way to pass the time...not sure that'll be suitable for where you are tho lol.

I stewarded my first fest in Lost Vagueness. It's not too bad, just try and enjoy being there rather than thinking about what you're missing!

And take some supplies with you....breakfast bars and some water should help

I'm stewarding with people+planet and think we'll be in Trash City. Possibly somewhere called the Wrecking Joint... never heard of it myself!

You going to be in the crew camping site?

Any idea how tiring working at night is? I think all the shifts will be night shifts... At least i'll get to enjoy the sun during the day! And im thinking just lots of caffeine.

I'm working as a steward with SLS security, they haven't told me where im working though. not looking forward to the 11pm to 7am shift one bit, especially if i get the that shift on the Sunday.

Im looking at it as a job and the festival as a huuuge bonus, and so will try and enjoy whatever time i get in the festival instead of being annoyed at what i miss.

I'm a Shangri La steward too, but am working over at the Arcadia stage.

Out of all the stewarding and security jobs I've done over the years, this one looks to be the best.

i'm working at family camping with a mate, another tow mates are working at woodsies campsite, another two are working down by the railway track somewhere.

you're right, you just gotta try and enjoy what you're doing and not think about whay ya could be missing! great tip, whoever wrote that.

REALLY got to remember tha mantra on the sun when i'm missing blur, prodigy and all that drum in the dance village on the sunday night!

Campervan field steward. I have done Information Services, litter picked and security in the past. Looking forward to this as I like the vibe in the campervan fields (as well as being paid).

The main tip is, don't panic about the line up, make mates with the people you work with, and just go with the flow :angry:
