Clash Deciders!

Oh - I should add my own clash dilemma -

Fleet Foxes V Dreadzone.

Love Dreadzone and know I would have a great time there as I always have before.

I like the White winter hymnal and would be interested to see Fleet Foxes but I'm not sure if I'm interested enough to miss Dreadzone.

Jamie T Vs The Specials! Argh!!!

Was right at the back for Jamie T in '07 and loved it so would love to watch again with a better view....... However, I've heard that The Specials are definately worth seeing. Help me! Thankyou please!!

On the Bat For Lashes vs. Ladyhawke Vs. Madness issue.

I've seen all three live, including Madness in 07 in Lost Vagueness.

Bat For Lashes is absoultely stunning live, her voice is sheer brilliance.

Ladyhawke is very good, at least she was when I saw her. I have heard a lot of people say she's very hit and miss.

Madness, well what can you say. Everyone knows it will be epic, there's no point even trying to fight that point.

I think the fact that I am at the Others stage before BFL for YYYs will swing this one.

Not to mention I'm also not happy I'll be missing Roots Manuva.

I think Bat For Lashes may just well pull something out of the bag, sunset on sunday, some her songs could fit epicically.

We'll see I suppose, but that's my take.

This one has annoyed me too because I feel many people would like all of these as there is something of a generic thread running through all of them.

However, I think Steel Pulse clash more with Lily Allen and as long as you leave Steel Pulse before the end you'll get to The Specials OK (as long as you didn't want to be down the front!)

I have seen The Streets before and would happily see again if they didn't clash but really not strong enough to override The Specials.

I am seriously pissed off about the clash with Jamie T because I do really want to see him, but if he plays somewhere near me in the future, I am sure that the tickets won't sell out in 4 minutes flat (like The Specials did) and I'll have a decent chance of seeing hime elsewhere.

The Specials - did sell out Birmingham in 4 minutes flat and I am unlikely to get another chance to see them - It's got to be The Specials!

(Which makes me a bit sad for Jamie T and The Streets because there are loads of people who would have liked to see them who'll go down exactly the same route of reasoning - will anybody see them?)

My major clash dilemnas are :-

1) Steel Pulse or Easy Star All Stars doing Floyd - leaning towards the Easy dudes but would LUV to see Steel Pulse

2) Doves or Neil Young - seen Doves plenty but never Young - leaning towards Doves atthemo

3) Japanese Popstars OR Easy Stars doing Radiodread - might use a coin for this one

4) Passion Pit OR Lonnie Liston Smith - will prob just go with the flow

5) Linda Lewis or Back To The Planet (might do Linda Lewis* then pop into the Acoustic to see the Penguin Cafe Orch)

For those that don't know - Linda Lewis appeared at the very first Glastonbury singing onstage with Alan White of Yes on drums and Terry Reid. Interestingly enough, Terry Reid is also on later the same afternoon, so I wonder if one or other will make a guest appearance ?

Looking on clashfinder I've got 3 main clashes:

Nick Cave vs Seth Lakeman (well I've already decided Nick Cave will win as not seen him for years and saw Seth Lakeman a few weeks ago but disappointing as these 2 were on my definite list!)

Also Florence and the Machine vs Eliza Carthy- heard both are fab live- was erring towards Florence but heard the sound is bad in the John Peel??

And finally Blur vs Peatbog Fairies vs Peaches vs Gong! Not really a Blur fan but think everyoneone I'll be with will be going to see them plus we'll already be there after Nick Cave

ooh decisions!

You lot know nothing!

The biggest clash of the Sunday has to be Madness v Will Young! A bunch of hairy arsed cokenees who sing about their oversized trousers and Their House (genius I think not) or the lovely mr Young?

I think the debate ends here.

....Nurse, can I have my tablets now please
