I've heard of this, and had it several times; but I've only ever seen it spelt "poteen". Isn't "poitin" the French word for prostitute or summat??

poitin would be the spelling in irish (gaelic), but it's difficult to get a fada on the i so it would be pronounced properly (you couldn't actually spell it poteen in irish as there'd be a broad vowel and a slender vowel either side of the T...can't be having that!)...it's lethal stuff, I once had a tumbler full when I was younger, was supposed to be going out but I couldn't stand so I was unceremoniously dumped on my parents front porch....next day, the first liquid I drank (a can of coke actually), and I was polluted again! drunk twice on the same drink.

I don't know if I'm going to have enough booze :angry: ordered 6 x 1 litre bottles of strongbow and made a litre of Skittles vodka, plus i think i have a 70cl bottle of taboo somehwere which i will decant and have with lemonade.

What else is cheap, cheerful and will get me plastered? xx

ETA just found my bottle of taboo AND a bottle of sambucca! Result!
