Vodka skittles/sweets/anything

I reckons rhubarb and custard is the best flavour out and doesn't need any scum filtering out. JElly babies are good too and dissolve really quickly.

If you don't have much time left for your infusion screw the cap on Reeeeeally tight and stand it up in the dishwasher - the heat makes the sweets dissolve real fast - just dont let your mum find a smashed bottle of vodka in the dishwasher

140 hours to go.....xx

Filtered my 5 different coloured/flavoured bottles of Skittles Vodka last night so they are ready to go. Not tryed them yet - saving that for next week, but they all smell very sweet & fruity, although the lemon & orange ones still have a very strong alcohol smell & are probably going to be horrid.

The orange one is not as deeply coloured as the others, most of the orange colour filtered out :(

It's never too late! A whole packet of Skittles (minus the greens) dissolved for me in less than three days.

I reckon one more flavour will do me - i'm torn between Refreshers or Rubarb & Custards. Might have to go with the former cos i reckon they'll dissolve more readily.

If i had some Jelly Bellies i'd definitely bosh a load of them in some vodka - just make sure you pick a 'theme'. If you chuck loads in together you'll just end up with dominant flavours like cinammon and liquorice spoiling it!

Having done Skittles I would say yes and to speed up the disolving put them in a tea towel roll it and smash them up with rolling pin or similar heavy object!

Remember to keep shaking everynow and then as this helps, if you like clear vodka, sieve through paper coffee filter or kitchen roll.

Enjoy! :)

Went with the fizzy snakes I found in the cupboard, along with a Werthers. Last time I tried this it didn't work, the vodka just tasted like vodka with a hint of sweets. Hoping with the smashing up of the Werthers this won't be a repeat. I put the snakes in whole though so I hope they'll be ok. They're sitting in hot water now to speed up the process...
