Well, I'm going to use 26 litres of diesel to get there, which is 103.9 x 26 which comes out 27 quid and 2 pence. I'm going to eat at Katy's Thai wonderland which costs 4.50 once a day, 22.50 to eat for the weekened. That's a total of 49.52. Plus one pint at 2.80, that's 52.32, and now it all starts to get a li'l messy.... I don't think you can quantify an experience such as Glasto using monetary definitions, as long as you can still get a pint at sundaynight close off, you're laughing

Everyone is estimating the food at £4.50 a meal. Most stuff last year was £5, plus we've got this whole 'credit crunch' thing .... I wouldn't be surprised to see most stuff at £6 this year.

I am, and I will not get into an argument, but I knew plenty of other people would start posting. I replied directly not to your post, but just as a way to highlight dangers.

Yes I am over 40, but more than that I am very aware of the steps that the police and security are having to take to stop the organised gangs, like the ones last year across the festival scene. Some of those where specially targeted.

You may not be going to a meet, but others will be. I wear a tshurt with my name board on. But I know very little on the matter, and this is the last I will say.

Arriving Thursday, so that's £100.00 a day. Should be enough to get elegantly w*nkered.

This is the point. You'll spend whatever you take.. It's what happens @ Glasto.

Take £200 for emergencies, (expect it' all to be spent too) 'nuff mind alterations and booze to get you through and enjoy.

Don't take too much 'cos you'll end up with no cash a few shite things you thought were cool after fifteen hours drinking but is too large to fit in your car and upon sobriety turns out to be a minging peice.

Drugs, booze, food it you are a woos.

What else do you need? Fresh pants if you a a girl I guess...

Last year we took so much food that we ended up throwig most of it away as it had gone off in the sun. This year I am going to take more money with me to try and avoid doing just that!

Besides which, I don't spend much time at the tent apart from the sleep so it's easier to buy lunch and dinner when out and about. I am hoping that £400 will cover me for the 4 days...

I usually take £250, £50 a day is enough to eat on and buy a few treats. i don't drink anymore or do drugs so that cuts what i need money for right down.
