So you're one of the ones I was competing with for a Lazy Spa during the height of Covid 2021 and a PS5 when you could get them on AO only by changing the product code? 😃
Funnily enough there was no demand for concert tickets during covid, so nope I was not a full time ticket tout!
These groups are often built around retail arbitrage or finding limited/hard to source items. I made money from selling stuff like tents, outdoor furniture, hot tubs, graphics cards, computers, games consoles, fashion, snacks, pretty much the only thing I didn't sell was tickets!
I know the exact same thing happened for Oasis and will undoubtedly happen again for Glastonbury. The prices are always excessive so I won't be paying, I'll just be using a handful of devices and hoping for the best like most.
There won't be a massive spike at 0900. The 'waiting rooms' are handled on separate infrastructure by Queue-It (who say they can handle 500 million across their datacentres). At 0900 Queue-It will then feed the queue to See in order, and at a rate that the See infrastructure can process efficiently and effectively, hence avoiding any bottleneck (at least that's their theory....).
