When my foot hits the floor in the car park i crack open a beer to the festival gods, i once did'nt carry this tradition out & had my only bad festival (Wickerman 2007) i will never miss the sacrificial beer again.

Oh my god i'm so excited i could just go pop....like a lonely rice crispy

Traditionally for me it has always been set up tent, then have a sit down with a warm can of lager, a fat spliff and a smug feeling of satisfaction. However, this year will be my first festival in over 10 years without smoking. Not sure how I will replace that fat spliff :) Hopefully the overwhelming feeling of joy and being back at Glato and the baking sunshine should make up for it :P

I think there's no other feeling than setting off into the festival after pitching your tent.

We normally pitch Thursday afternoon about 4. Get the tea on and raise a glass or two to the festival and the good times to come.

Then around 6pm we have a group photo and set off. These first few hours make my year.

The anticipation. The excitement. The KNOWING that it's special and so many people will never have this feeling but also knowing that you're going to share this experience with thousands of great people.

Bliss

My first Glasto, but can't see it being a great deal different to what id do at other festi's.

Arrive, pitch my tent (and this year my cousins as well as shes arriving late) at Pennards, sit down aon the DRY grass in the sunshine, have a beer or two, peruse the programme and people watch, get my bearings, meet the neighbours, have another beer and then...

head for the World Cup
