Elfy
So far this year, directly as a result of EOTR 2009 band announcements - and helped along a bit by people's comments on here - I have bought the following (all bought completely unheard!)....... The Low Anthem - Oh My God, Charlie Darwin The Dodos - Visiter Peter Broderick - Home Efterklang - Parades Papercuts - Can't Go Back (hey, I bought it when he was still due to appear!) The Leisure Society - Sleeper Joe Gideon and the Shark - Harum Scarum Richmond Fontaine - The Fitzgerald The Mummers - Tale to Tell The Diry Projectors - Rise Above Blitzen Trapper - Furr Loney, Dear - Loney, Noir The Horrors - Primary Colours I've also added to my existing CDs for Malcolm Middleton, Okkervil River and Shearwater..... Just wondered if anyone else out there has a similar CD buying habit
sadwitch
You're richer than me clearly. I made a EOTR spotify playlist but can't work out how to share it.
shoebox
Yeah, I've gone down the Spotify playlist route as well. Added absolutely everything by any EotR artist I can find. Sadwitch, if you right click on the playlist, you should be able to "copy the HTTP link" or something. You can then just paste the link in here for anyone to click on. It will then open up in their copy of Spotify.

shoebox
Tallest Man On Earth isn't on Spotify sadly. Been looking for it myself. There is some Spokes on there though.
Sipperana
Sorry to be a pedant but Elfy bought The Leisure Society as a result of a recommendation in The Times, before they were confirmed for EOTR... and I know cos I was there Oh and HMV at the Fort Shopping Park in Brum seems to think the album is called Waxing Gibbons too

TheCodhead
I was already a big fan of the following when I came across End of the Road festival, which is the main reason I'm going... Explosions In The Sky Okkervil River Shearwater Fleet Foxes Vetiver The Acorn The Dodos The Mummers Tallest Man On Earth Alela Diane (Headless Heroes) I've been working my way through the lineup gradually but as I'm attending another two festivals this summer (The Hop Farm & Greenman) and working my way through their lineups aswell as trying to get hold of all the interesting music I find in various music magazine and online reviews. It's taking a little bit of time. So far I've enjoyed... The Horrors (absolutely unbelievable!) The Boy Least Likely TO David Thomas Broughton Efterklang Any others I should be getting right into before the festival arrives? The Low Anthem doesn't seem to do much for me although I'm trying. Also Steve Earle has failed to move me so far. I have some The Week That Was somewhere but can't seem to find it. Very much looking foward to this one! nod
petemania
I've discovered so much great music through EOTR. Albums bought blind on the back of artists being added to the line-up: Alela Diane - Forest Parade Dan Michaelson & The Coastguards - Saltwater The Duke & The King - Nothing Gold Can Stay First Aid Kit - Drunken Trees First Aid Kit - Plaits Holly Throsby - A Loud Call The Horrors - Primary Colours Lay Low - Farewell Good Night's Sleep The Low Anthem - What The Crow Brings Motel Motel - New Denver Mumford & Sons - The Cave & The Open Sea Mumford & Sons - EP Mumford & Sons - Love Your Ground EP Ohbijou - Swift Feet for Troubling Times Richmond Fontaine - $87 and a Guilty Conscience The Tallest Man On Earth - Shallow Grave The Tallest Man On Earth - The Tallest Man On Earth EP The Whispertown 2000 - Swim Wildbirds & Peacedrums - The Snake Haven't had a proper chance to listen to all of them yet, but so far The Tallest Man On Earth, Mumford & Sons, Motel Motel and First Aid Kit have been absolute revelations. Sipperana
Saw Lay Low, Low Anthem and The Broken Family Band at Glastonbury, all of whom were highly enjoyable - every chance we will be watching them again at EOTR. Low Anthem in particular had some very interesting instrumentation - and I recommend anyone going to see Broken Family Band take something camel-related Also saw Babel who still aren't confirmed though they are self-confirmed on Myspace. Elfy asked the lead singer when we bumped into them while watching Broken Records, and he said he was still hopeful they will be there.
