Just come out of hospital and cant go

I have just come out of hospital after going in for an emergency operation on my shoulder and now cant go. didnt think anything would stop me going for the 3rd year in a row so didnt take out the insurance. guttered guttered guttered but have been told i cant risk anyone knocking into me even the slightest knock could cause another op and i dont want to go through that again.

I know the new security on the tickets stops touts but puts people in my situation a lot of money out of pocket as see tickets say theres nothing can be done. guttered!

You definitely definitely definitely can't go staff?

Really big sympathies ....

Is there ANY way you could get there and be looked after? The facilities for disabled/injured peeps are pretty damned good. I know someone (an Urban75 regular) who had a very bad broken leg, still with pins in the bones etc., and he's been furnished with all sorts of disabled passes, access to platforms, lifts on the motorised quadritrolleys etc.

Don't completely rule it out until you're very sure I'd say. Good luck.

If I was you I would still go ,BUT i would not be drinking or taking anything else ...take your time, no crowd surfing , find a space to watch your bands were there is plenty of space , maybe get 1 of you mates to stand right behind you so nobody can push past your sore shoulder .

take a double lilo and sleep on it on your own and take it easy

Gutted for you.

I had a shoulder op last autumn, and deffo wouldnt have considered going and camping.

But are you local enough to go even for just a few hours each day?

Maybe, like WoW said, you could go and sit on the disabled platform at the Pyramid.

The fact that the weather is going to be fantastic is on your side.

Hope you manage to get along and enjoy some of it.

Don't risk it. If they're saying even the slightest knock could cause further damage the risk is too great.

Instead get your TV in the garden and get some mates round to watch the coverage whilst drinking cider in the sun. It won't be quite the same, but far better than to need another operation.

mine was on bupa at the alex hospital in cheadle, stockport, it was actually a pec tear i suffered and they have had to re attach the pec muscle to my shoulder and with it only being stitched they have said that if the stitches get knocked they can come loose. i cant drive for a few months and cant work.

think the garden idea is the best, def not the same but some of my friends have done that the last 2 years when a few of us have been there and had a mint time.

i will get the ticket later when i get back home (pestering my mum today at hers as bored sat at home on my own whilst im off) and will get the pic from the ticket up on here, if you dont think it will suit you i will get it on ebay but will be on here later, prob 7ish id guess.

plus no issue scanning something over, at the end of the day i want whoever has it to get in, also im stockport based so if your local you can pick it up.

curtains ive sent you a pm

i am however looking to try and get my money back for the ticket and therefore if curtains doesnt want it then if anyone else is looking, pm me.

i aint looking to make a profit, just solely looking to get my money back (which as a bonus would go towards the excess on my bupa treatment)
