I do this thread every year.. it helps get even more juices flowing

For me it was my first Glasto when The Skatalites started Guns of navarone.

I started crying with the sheer joy of hearing one of my favorite tunes

And actually being at Glasto

Lamb : Avalon stage

Whats your moment?

Radiohead 97 - overcome with emotion.

Doves 2004? on the Other Stage - after Space Face I couldn't talk for 5 minutes.

The Stone Circle every year when I take in the whole site, feel the anticipation building on Weds or Thurs, and the elation just starts to overflow and everyone starts whooping.

Deffinetly Paul McCartney doing the Beatles stuff in 2004 or the Marley Brothers doing Exodus in 2007.

Madness with their "secret" gig in the Lost Vagueness was awesome too although i didn't see too much (think that was in 2007).

OOOO and Nizlopi like every time i've seen them at Glasto, brilliant live performers!

Driving to Glastonbury the first time my kids came with me. Tuned into Worthy FM and Faithless' Insomnia (live version) came on.

I did'nt cry but my goosebumps had goosebumps which in turn had goosebumps. My kids were in hysterics laughing at how my body was reacting, I was shaking and really struggling to hold back the tears.

Its just that I was so excited and knowing that my kids would soon experience the magic of Glastonbury, each time we hear the tune, we laugh and I still get goosebumps.

Its amazing what emotions simple musical notes can inspire. B)

this is a brilliant thread. i have had serveral moments - basement jaxx in 2005 jsut because i was having far far far too much fun, and i think i had a little moment because life was just too good! (this was my first glasto)

secondly, brian wilson doing beach boys and him still being amazing.

thirdly, crowded house singing " four seasons in one day". incredible.

i cant wait to this year because i know theres going to be many many many more emotional moments and i just cant wait!!

I cried at Leonard Cohen - not directly because of his singing (although he was undoubtably my act of the year) but because of the domino effect he seemed to have on the crowd!! The girl in front of me was so excited that I thought she might hyperventilate before he even got on stage and when he did she just burst into tears. Her boyfriend kept hugging her stupid while she sang along to every word - obviously a massive fan. Bit by bit during the performance, he (and she) seemed to touch more and more of the crowd around us until there were a good twenty of us in our area - males and females alike - just smiling, singing but all very definitely sniffling along. We even group hugged at one stage!! I love those moments like that when they just creep up on you because I wasn't actually even going to stay and watch him B)

Last year, watching Elbow, the moment Guy Garvey started singing. I was SO happy, surrounded by friends, glorious weather, just coming up, watching my favourite band.

It was perfect B) , apart from the fact my best mate wasn't there with me B) .

The tears came from nowhere & boy did they flow. (Thanks for the much needed hankie HSC).
