Elbow did it for me last year, twice, firstly i got a little sad during one song then at the end i was euphoric and happy, one of the best things i've seen ever.

flamin lips - race for the prize for me 2003,favourite song ever

dont watch it often but when i do it still brings tears to my eyes,this will be played at my funeral,really happy song and a perfect setting,wish they were playin this year- sniff sniff ^_^

The Billy Bragg story has just brought a tear to my eye and reminded me of the other time he got me.

In 97 everyone struggled with the mud - no-one was ready for it the way we tend to be these days. All around the site I kept seeing these 2 guys, carrying their mate in a wheelchair, and I thought what hard work it must be - I could barely stay on my feet myself!

Went along to see Billy Bragg at The Pyramid on Sunday afternoon and halfway through his set he said that he just had to say something, and he was worried it might seem patronising or crass but that wasn't how it was meant, and he was going to say it anyway. He asked the crowd if they had noticed the 2 guys carrying their mate in a wheelchair - and the cheer came back indicating that nearly everyone had. Then he said "I just wanted to say that with mates like that - no-one can ever call you disabled!" Cue massive cheers ......and tears!

For me it was my first Glasto when The Skatalites started Guns of navarone.

I started crying with the sheer joy of hearing one of my favorite tunes

And actually being at Glasto

laughing tears - at the people who took a green door to Shakin Stevens at the Pyramid last year. It was painted with the message - Oi JayZ we don't care about your 99 problems, we just wan to know what's behind the green door - and he didn't play it!!

Me and my best friend were at the front watching james blunt (ahem) and he sang goodbye my lover and we were both crying - GEEKS!!! I like that song anyway and it was sunny AND it was our first glasto it was just a nice moment!

Everyone still takes the piss out of us for that lol :huh:

We only passed through the Pyramid field during "Goodbye my lover". We literally entred at one side as the opening bars struck up and left the other side as it ended!

I was crying behind my sunglasses as I picked my way through the crowd - the atmosphere in the field during that tune was incredible!

In April last year my 5 year old daughter passed away after a long battle with cancer, Tank Park Salute by Billy Bragg helped me so much so I e-mailed the Glastonbury website asking them to pass a message on to Billy and how much it has helped me and it would mean so much if he sang it on Sunday night.

Sunday morning at Glastonbury, my phone rang, when I picked it up I was greeted with "Hi Neil It's Billy!" :D

I then chatted with him for 5mins like we were friends for ages. Anyway I headed down to Leftfield that night, and he sang Tank Park Salute, he said nothing didnt make a big deal but changed the words slightly to for my Samantha. I'm not ashamed to say that tears were streaming down my face.

If anyone is reading this that knows, the great man, please let him know just how much I appreciated what he did.
