What is everyone up to between now and the festival?

Well I know there are lots of people going down as early as tomorrow but I was just wondering what everyone else has planned between now and Wednesday? Basically I'm bored and nosy.

Personally my plans are:

Tonight

---------

Drink red wine and vodka (not in the same glass), pack, tidy bedroom

Tomorrow

-------------

Buy father's day gift, hoover, finish cleaning bathroom, write 1x article that I was supposed to do this week for work and didn't get done due to Glastonbury excited, re-pack

Sunday

---------

Check again that I have got everything, repack, write another article for work that I am supposed to have done already, do my to do list for Monday and Tuesday so that I can actually just get on with all the work I should have done before I go, go to the car wash, empty out the boot of my car so I can actually fit my Glastonbury stuff in.

Monday

----------

Up at 6.15am, into work for 8am at the latest, work like crazy whilst struggling to focus on anything but a field in Somerset with some cider and music, email lots of friends whilst I should be working, go home and clean out the fridge (so we don't come back to a smelly flat), repack again about 5 times, try and get to sleep but realise I need to check I have everything, charge my mobile phones.

Tuesday

----------

Up at 6.15am again and into work for 8, pack all Glastonbury stuff in the car before work, be totally unable to concentrate, prepare my handover notes, finish off the final pieces of work, run away before anyone realises what I haven't done(!!!), drive 100 miles to my parents, give my father his father's day gift and card, wait for my mate to come round, go to the pub for a drink before bed, come back, try desperately to sleep!!!

Wednesday

-------------

Up at 5am to go to Glastonbury!!! Drive to my boyfriends parents house and meet him and the other 15 people in our group. Head off to Somerset!

That has made me just a tiny bit more excited than I was before. I'm keen to hear everyone else's pre-Glasto plans!!!

Holy moly that's organised! But cheers I have remembered Father'd Day now! i think I will get my dad a Jeremy Clarkson book, he'll like that.

otherwise I will be going "shit shit shit WHY didn't I buy a trolley MONTHS ago?" and also buying a few fancy dress bits for the kids.

Tent up in garden tomorrow, already waterproofed it, yay! Pack tent away. Wish I had a bigger car than a micra.

Put dogs in kennels.

Go to Glasto!

Tonight- mope around the house and binge eat on Chinese food.

Tomorrow- Work and then hand out CV's in town with some friends to see about getting a better job that pays more than minimum wage. May try and meet up with friends but will probably just end up back here.

Sunday- May be organising a Summer Solstice party with friends, kind of like a Pre-Glastonbury thang, if it goes ahead it will be fun. I also need to make my Werther's Original vodka too.

Monday and Tuesday are collegey, thankfully only have 2 lessons though, leaving me time to pack for Glasto to leave on the Wednesday morning!

Not exactly thrilling, but it'll do.

^^ Post no 1^^

Sounds all good to me. I still can't get fully into 'Glasto Mode'

I am working every eve (Inc Tonight) up until Tuesday eve.

Over this Weekend I will get all my stuff together, but actually pack on Tuesday night.

This weekend, both my Sons are playing in Football tournaments (1 on Sat & other on Sunday) so between that & work I ain't got much time for Glastobating or any Festie Fun until I'm on the way to Pilton crack of dawn Wed.

8am tomorrow - Drive to near Avebury, pitch tent and chill with a few ciders before going to Avebury Stone Circle for Solstive

6am Sunday - Return to camp, few hours kip then up for the F1 and pub lunch chilling by the pub.

Monday - Head to Cheddar Gorge via a Cider Farm and visit the caves. Then head to Glastonbury town to pitch up and probably get a few drinks.

Wednesday - Up early and head to a farm near Pilton

Tonight - At work til about 10.30, near-obsessively checking efestivals. Maybe a couple of beers after, but trying desperately to save money ahead of the festivals binge that is the next three months.

Tomorrow - Wake up about 11, start work on putting together 20 litres of my Glastonbury "punch" from the startling array of bottles of spirits that have taken over my kitchen since the trip to Asda earlier in the week. Find one of my friends with a tape player and record my drive to Glastonbury CD onto tape. Relatively low-key night out, again saving money.

Sunday - Work again 4-11, breaking off at 7 to watch Countryfile and the annual ritual that is their Glastonbury forecast. Bed about 2, try to sleep, unsuccesfully, while thinking "THREE DAYS, THREE BLOODY DAYS".

Monday, Tuesday - Work 4-11, excitement now reaching peak. Spend at least 50 per cent of each evening at work staring out of the office window towards Somerset and salivating.

Wednesday - Up at 8, shower, dress, and wait for friends to turn up. Start pacing when they're inevitably late, getting more and more wound up until the last of the 15 or so show up about an hour after I'd wanted to leave. Get in car, press play on Glastonbury CD and let it all commence...
