my friend has 2 tickets for glastonbury, one for him and one for his girlfriend! but recently, as in the last couple of days, they have decided to pretty much end their relationship. my friend is now stuck with a ticket, so he is going to give it to one of my other good friends, who has registered but was too lazy to buy a ticket! how likely is it that they will understand the conditions and throw my friend a bone!

just wanted to get other peoples opinions because my friend doesnt want to travel all the way from manchester to be turned away!

any feedback would be great!

yeah not sure what the politics are behind the tickets issues if it hers or his, he did pay for them, but i dont think she has any other friends going, so it would be hard for her. obviously she would camp with us, but i just think it would make it very awkward for everyone involved! cos not many of us know her too well!

There's no way of transferring the ticket, best bet is for someone similar looking to try and get in.

I had this response from the Festie office about transferring tickets as someone in our group (F) can't make it and we knew someone who really wanted to go (M). Given the reasoning from the Office, seems fair enough to me.

Message below:-

I am afraid that there is nothing that we can do to help.

Tickets have been printed with photographs to the total permitted by our licence. Tickets cannot used by anyone other than the person in the photograph. By the terms of our licence tickets are non transferable. Similarly we cannot print anymore tickets without contravening the terms of our licence. All ticketing is independently audited for the licensing authority. If we were to break licence conditions, we would be fined and that would result in problems in the autumn when we wish to re-apply for a licence for future years.

I am sorry.

Best Wishes

Glastonbury Festival Office
