BLISTERS ...

Recommended Posts

So last week I purchased a pair of el cheapo converse style lo trainers from next. Just needed something to wear with leggings other than wellies or flip flops.

Well I now have blisters on my heals, on my toes, on my nose, f*cking everywhere!!!! I haven't had a blister since I was at school (which was over 20yrs ago!!).

My wellies hurt, my ratty old converse hurt, even my flip flops hurt!!

I'm not happy. I can normally walk for miles in anything without any problems .... rubbish.

But, f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f f four days, so I'm still smiling through the pain x peace x

Get yourself some blister plasters that will help to bring them down now, and will help to not get them when you're at G. You can get branded ones, but also try the supermarkets own.

I got some from Asda the other day, they come in packs of 5 and I bought 2 for £2 so not cheap but they should help. :P

Compeed blister plasters are the dogs! They are like new skin and make blister stop hurting right away. Expensive as previous poster says but well worth the money esp with a certain event coming up! :P

Cheers guys. I feel a bit stupid now. Posted on another thread a week or so ago about blisters, saying 'its not your shoes it's your socks' blah blah blah. Well now I'm eating my words :P

Hey, I'm happy to admit defeat.

Will nip to the chemist after my rather hectic weekend and invest in these compeed plaster things.

But I did pop the big blisters (with a sterilised needle) and then put a plaster over them. Will this help or have I made things worse??

Cheers x you're all lovely x peace x

Yeah, have kept feet clean (obviously, I'm a girl after all!!! :P ), and the plasters are regularly replaced.

But I'm still wearing the shoes. Think its important to break them in. I've got two solid days on my feet this weekend, and I'm wearing them (and I'll be away from home without a spare). Hope this isn't a mistake!!!

Thanks again lovelies .... peace x

As said as long as the needle is clean you are fine.

I always used to lance my blisters, as I had to continue walking around all the time, and I used to get them on my heals. Just a sigle pin prick to remove the fluid. It avoids something called tracking which can make the blisters bigger.

Keep your feet clean and dry and you should be fine by Wednesday (as has been said) :)
