Like the keen beans we are, we're setting off at 7.30am wednesday morning from leicester area. we were planning for the journey to take about 3 hours. not sure how realistic this is. basically it should be a straight route as far as bristol. i was jst wonderign how much longer it takes from there with the traffic and stuff? just out of interest?

I live in Northampton and my boyfriend is in Bristol so I have done that journey loads :D The fastest I have done it is an hour and 53 minutes but that was late on a Sunday night - it's generally 2 hours. Leicester is, say, 30-40 mins from Northampton. From Bristol you need to leave at least an hour depending on what route you take - there will obviously be heavier traffic as you approach the site. Therefore, I'd say it's a minimum 4 hour journey - hope that helps. Drive safe :)

From Bristol, I can do it in under an hour going down the A37 route, but thats knowing a few back roads.

It can get busy on certain parts (Shepton Mallet by the Blackthorne factory as an example), so Id say an hour/ is a good guesstimate.
