TICKETS?!

EVERY year they say they're sold out, EVERY year they say there will be no more tickets for sale, and EVERY year they end up releasing more batches and selling some on the gate. but they have said there will be no box office on site at all this year. whether you believe them or not is up to you.

you could also try ebay a bit nearer the time, sometimes the touts (scum) will lower their prices to get rid of tickets they have left.

yea as said above, im not sure about the tickets on site

hopefully be another wave of tickets

failing that - you can pick one up off a tout on the day, and the later it gets i.e. near end of the thurs, no bands start till friday, the touts drop prices here too, in order to get rid of them..rather than having what becomes useless pieces of paper

Tjhe reason Reading is no longer selling ticvkets onsite is because of the massive queues over the past few years. If you search the council website for Reading Festival, then you will find various documents relating to this decision and the reasons behind it.

There will be no tickets on the gate this year at Reading.

There's no law saying they need to, but it's generally considered good practise to keep ~1% back in case of delivery cock ups, people with a disabled ticket who don't meet the requirements for a disabled ticket, etc.

What they're saying this year is that if one of these happens, and you haven't arranged to collect the rearranged ticket from the Oracle, you ain't getting in. How strictly that's enforced remains to be seen, but they won't be selling tickets at the Oracle to Joe Public.
