She became rich and famous by being a thick twat. What sort of message does that send to the youth of today?! Why are these people allowed to be in the limelight?!

Going back to MJ I was reading in the Evening Standard a couple of days back that Hucknall (yes the fat ginger Hucknall) has spoken out condemning MJ after his death, because his dentist's kid was one of the abused kids and the claim was settled out of court for £13mil... suspicious behaviour for someone supposedly innocent

That said, I'm not in the business of taking that Simply Red buffoons word, but seemed genuine!

But he has never 'been' with any kid, if there was actual evidence that he had that would be a different story. Seriously everyone who has actualy bothered to read the evidence and examine the case comes to the same conclusion - he never did anything to those children, all the evidence is really weak. I have never taken the extreme side either way, I've always wanted to keep an open mind, but I now really don't believe he was a peado.

True enough, but much of what he said was twisted by the mdeia. For example most people know he had boys stay overnight in his bedroom - what they don't know is that Michael Jackson's bedroom has multiple floors and is bigger than my house, so they may not have even been sleeping on the same floor! Also when he (rarely) had boys to stay overnight they never shared a bed and he always had parental permision and there was always a logical reason why they stayed (he never really had sleepovers as some people assume). When you look into it you realize it was never as seedy as the papers made out, he was just a naive childish man.

yeah, think about it - if someone did this to your child, would a massive amount of money to shut you up satisfy you? would you be able to look at your child and think "yeah, it's ok now. we got that money after all."

even if michael jackson did do it (i don't think he did), accepting money rather than pursuing the issue for justice seems disgusting to me. it's like putting a price on a crime.

That's true to the letter, but had any other man in America continued to have children stay at his house after the first accusation, he would be in prison. That's the part a lot of people have gripes with, be it Jacko or anyone else. If I did the same I would be a convicted paedo. Perhaps that judgement would be wholly wrong, but why should there be one rule for us mere mortals and another for people whose names have been graffitied onto the streets of LA?
