last year i took one of the wheelie bins the council give out to put in grass and greens etc, hosed it out and filled it with my goods.

worked a treat, just had to carry that and my gf had the tent and we were flying past everyone!!!!

I would go for the comfiest of the two - 65l ain't that much if you have a large sleeping bag and stuff (if its raining you don't want it left outside your bag) I would go with the 85l if you can carry it easily. Also just because you have the space doesn't mean you have to fill it! You probably would though and become a kit monster.

Also are you planning on using this for other trips or is it just a V purchase that will sit in the loft until next year?

Well, asi have spent a good few quid on on tent, seeping bag and getting rucksack then i might start doing a bit of camping out in fields and what not. But sister has just offered me her ticket to leeds fest so might do a double bill as i would love to see the Artic's, KOL and Faith No More???

Simple answer if you can see a similar 65l bag take sleeping bag with you and see how much space is left when its in your bergen. Also top tip if you go camping and have enough spare room, get a waterproof bivi bag and put the sleeping bag in it, then ditch your stuff sack and just have the sleeping bag/bivi bag ready to go stacked in your rucksack. When you get to wherever you are sleeping it takes 2 seconds to get your gonk sack out and get your head down without faffing about with stuff sacks or messing with the straps with frozen or wet hands.
