austrian_zeppelin
1. f**ked up - most dedicated front man ever...he crowd surfed the whole tent back and forth and played blinding music along the way. 2. Neil Young - just mindblowingly good. always has been always will be 3. Blur - didn't want to see them first, got convinced by mates, didn't regret it for 1 second...if only they had a bass player who was slightly less of a you know what... 4. CSN - yes their voices are no longer what they used to be (no wonder really) but just an absolute privilege to see these legends. just a shame they didn't join up with neil for a bit.... loads more, best ever glasto? don't know haven't only been to 5, but certainly one very hard to beat. Langdale Wolf
1. The Chinese takeaway at mum and dad's on Saturday night, preceded by 2 pints of Bathams 2. Gaining a 15 kill streak on hardcore mode on Call Of Duty: World at War - Sunday evening 3. Watching series 3 of Peep Show. I love Superhans. 4. Managing to compile the whole of Guitar Hero III's tracklisting onto my ipod. Pretty good weekend all round if truth be told. Granty
1 Neil Young. Waited 16 years to see him at Glasto and it was worth it....especially him coming out and launching straight into Hey Hey My My....it was emotional. 2 The King Blues at Avalon - storming set, Im a convert! 3 Wonder Stuff at Avalon dancing myself silly in the mosh pit as if I was 18 again....then realising very soon afterwards that Im actually 37...ouch! 4 Tinariwen on the Pyramid in the sun...just perfect! And not a band but sitting by the Cider Bus on Thursday watching the lightning trying to hit the horns on 5co77ie's helmet...trust me you had to be there! jontysplotter
Blur Rolf Ray Davies Wonder Stuff Also gutted N.E.R.D couldn't finish their set- I had a chat with their sound guy and he told me they had only been added to the bill late on and had to travel in from Croatia on Friday morning. They were originally promissed a slot around 5pm but as they were on earlier didn't have time to set up. GUTTED!

finner
Blur Neil Young Gaslight Anthem Bruce Springsteen Didn't know what to expect with Neil Young but was great from start to finish. Blur completely nailed it and really got the crowd going. Bruce Springsteen coming on to play the '59 Sound with the Gaslight Anthem was also a real highlight. Wish Bruce had tailored his set a little more to a festival crowd. Think he left it a bit late with bringing out the hits right at the end. I know he doesn't play Born In the USA often, and it's not one I particularly like, but the crowd were expecting it. If he'd kicked in with that early it would have really got the crowd going. Felt a bit sorry for him when he tried to get the crowd to sing along to Thunder Road and didn't really get a response.
