gutted I missed this, and looks like my skills would have been useful seeing some of the photos. We were at Bridgewater at 10am, and onsite at 6pm, horrific journey at the end. I had uniform and everything! I'll try and get there next year, but am making a mental note never to approach the site from the West again. A fatal accident on the M4 forced the move. Well done on the organising of this.

Add me to that list.

I played for The Blues (RoTW) and thoroughly enjoyed the game & the pre match gig from The Hobos.

I was the Right back in the multi-coloured Fisherman style 'Rave' hat so easy to spot in the various photos and that BBC video at the end. :D

Cos I was Right Back, I had to endure the England 'Barmy Army' in the corner for the majority of the first half but enjoyed the banter with you all. :)

Thank f**k for the Irish Triology (Inc The Nal) who were the star players for us RoTW.

We got off to a flyer with that early goal and TBH we weren't as bad as the score indicates. I think without doubt the big bloke in goal for England was Man of the match and many have posted that already.

Who were the 2 Irish blokes who seemed fitter than most but unfortunately kicked the ball OVER THE GOAL more times than I could count!?! Perhaps too used to playing Gaelic Football & I jested at the time that they thought that would be a point each time they shot over the bar!! Alas the game could have been closer.

At least I stopped the frequent efforts of 'Parmo 10' & 'Hogga' otherwise the score could have been well into double figures!

I feel proud to have played and will defo be up for this again & perhaps more fitter next year! :)

The only thing I could add is if someone else wants to take it on then that would be great. Both me and Chaz could help with advice etc (just not with bringing kits/equipment on site!).

It still seems a shame for it to be a one off and with Hobo Jones willing to play before the game and Q Glastonbury review wanting to cover it again then it does seem a wasted opportunity for a good laugh and get together.

Just a little bit of news on this. There has been a change in circumstances so...

There is now going to be a 2nd efestivals Glastonbury World Cup at this years festival. It will be on the Thursday this year as there is a real England world cup game on the Wednesday.

We will be starting a thread in early April with all the details of entertainment before the game and to recruit players, referee's and cheerleaders etc.

Lets hope it is as successful as last years...especially for England!
