Just a little bit of news on this. There has been a change in circumstances so...

There is now going to be a 2nd efestivals Glastonbury World Cup at this years festival. It will be on the Thursday this year as there is a real England world cup game on the Wednesday.

We will be starting a thread in early April with all the details of entertainment before the game and to recruit players, referee's and cheerleaders etc.

Lets hope it is as successful as last years...especially for England!

I was born an raised in Yahkshire, which is technically part of England, but have Irish grandparents. Do I qualify to play for both teams? (oo, err, missus, knickers, etc etc.)

I couldnt walk right for days after the game last year! Great fun though.

I'm really glad people are up for it again

Its good that we have some new players interested. Ideally it will be a mix of both new players and some going for there second cap! We will be getting the new thread pinned in early April and will sort out teams from there. We will go for squads of about 22 a side again, so most people who want a game should play some part.

The ref last time was bribed. He booked me for getting fouled. One of Englands goals was also 3 feet wide. Home advantage and all that.......... Anyone want to see if Stevie Wonder will come early and ref?
