spammachine
Ouch! I really can't believe the amount of people coming down on the Wednesday could have been that much more than the previous 2 years, when we managed to get into the site relatively quickly. It must have had a huge effect this year.

mattrgee
Wow, my 12 hours was certainly not unusual then. I rang Worthy FM in the end to find out what the hell was going on with the A39, they said it was 'roadworks'. Who would plan roadworks when there was so much traffic on the move??? Hard to believe. Who's up for sharing the cost of a helicopter next year? The eFestivals helicopter perhaps?

PennardHill
9 hours on a coach from Bristol with broken blowers/air conditioning, in fact we spent half the time simply walking ahead of the coach. By the time we arrived there was no hope hope of camping on Pennard Hill.
Tobie_Trice
Took us 4 hours from Swindon leaving at 7am and arriving at 11am We got within 10 Miles, got sat nav to calculate alternative route, did 9 miles in 10 minutes and rejoined the main road with 1 mile to go. Anyone who did not pull off the A39/A361 and go down the lanes must off your heads. What did you have to loose?

Mr_Grump
Left Wakefield at 00:20 on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Was in Sedgemoor services by 4:30am and had an hours kip. Left there at 6am and got to the site at 6:30am and found the last space in the last lay-by before the West car parks. Joined the queue at 7am and was parked up in West 24 10 minutes after the gates opened! Overall I'd say I made the right call by going at that time - will definitely do the same next year. Langdale Wolf
Problem is if everyone does that then the traffic would be even worse down roads which cant handle it... Bigger picture and all that...
oafc0000
And that us Brits do so love a nice, stationary queue.

Dark Star
Hour on the train from Exeter, leaving at 13:23. 5 hours in the queue at Castle Cary 30 minutes or so on bus. Nice spot in Wicket Ground just before the 7th hour ticked by.
ParanoidAndroid86
We left Cannock at 8.30am, pulled up on West 29 at 5.30pm so a total of 9 hours. This was after taking a shortcut through the lanes thanks to a friendly local and a campervan which brought us out at West Pennard and probably saved us about 10 miles of more queuing. Nightmare, will be leaving very early morning next year.
lesando
17 hours! Nearly 13 hours in stationary traffic. I lost the will to live a few times.
