sensational set. The highlight of the weekend for me. Sadly it seemed to me not much of the crowd really got what Nick is all about. Wish his set had been as long as bruce springsteen's!

Please tell me there are some of you out there who appreciated this genius??

also, why can I not find this set on the bbc website???

Was amazing, as good as when I saw him in Ireland. Henry Lee was phenomenal.

I think he was made a little quieter as Bon Ivor was on over the Other, but nobody agreed... and I think there was a number of Blur fans looking for a good spot so not there for him... fools.

Nick Cave showed all acts what it is like to have presence. He is agreat performer and I loved his set.

Unfortunately, the nature of some of his music doesn't go down so well with larger audiences, for those of you who haven't seen him before, google the lyrics to "Stagger Lee". I was shocked he played it but loved the balls to play it to a mixed audience.

Not everyone in ourr party loved it, but then again they wanted to see Lily Allen :(

phew thank god there is some nick love out there!

I think he should maybe have played into my arms as I guess quite a lot of people would know it but I have no complaints at all with the set list. The ship song was a gorgeous moment, maybe the moment of the festival for me - apart from that bellend in the glider thing flying overhead distracting everyone, the attention seeking tit.

There she goes my beautiful world was wonderful too and in fairness to the crowd even people that didnt know who he was and were just there for blur seemed to really appreciate it.

A pyramid stage full of Blur fans were never going to appreciate that kind of genius. Stagger lee was the highlight of the festival to me and I think he was beginning to win over the crowd with the last 3 songs. could only have been bettered if PJ Harvey had come out to sing Henry Lee with them.

Only saw 5 or 6 songs before leaving to see The Magic Numbers (one of the highlights on the whole festival for me, but that's another story).

I have to say I really enjoyed everything I heard and I only knew Lazurus. It appeared to me to be a bit more 'challenging' than most bands you see on the pyramid stage. Lots of people around me looked disinterested, but I thought the stuff I heard was thought provoking and intense. I wish I could have heard more.

It was brilliant, but I knew it would be. The souped up version of Weeping Song is ace, and Stagger Lee was electrifying - there was a group of teenage girls next to us, with a lady who presumably was the mother of one of them. When Stagger Lee got going and they realised what Cave was singing their faces were a picture - the mum just looked appalled :P

was it you kohoutec who said nick seemed a bit tired and bored of singing stagger lee last time you saw him? (apologies if not but it was someone on here). We definitely didnt get a performance like that yesterday! ahahahah I wish I had seen that mothers face.

The weeping song was never one of my favourites but it was remarkable last night I thought. Really amazing

I still miss Mick Harvey though :P
