2nd time I've seen them, excellent both times, for me better live than recorded. Unlike most bands around today, you have to put some work in yourself to appreciate just how good these guys are. No instant Pop fix I'm afraid but that's what makes them soooooooo gooooood :(

I love love loved it. Has written it off to watch Mr Scruff with my friend but she was too wiped to stand so I went off to Nick - was amazed that I could get so close to the stage about half way into the set. He was immense - and ridiculously sexy!

I thought he was awsome..

I was almost out on my feet after 5 days of partying, but Nick's fantastic performance lifted me up ( literally - thought my feet hurt too much and too tired to stand) and topped the festival off perfectly.

second only to Neil Young over the whole festival (imho)

amazing performance given the circumstances, i just want to see them at one of their own gigs now as this was a highlight of the festival for me seeing red right had and stagger lee live was amazing, such a tight band and tight performance i absolutely loved it despite being on my own for it.

I was the only one of my group of 5 to know any of his stuff so when they said they were leaving his set early to go to the toilet before Blur I was gutted. That was until Stagger Lee kicked in just as I got to the top of the field for one of my many Glastonbury moments. Thought they should have left Dig Lazarus Dig for part of the finale though

sensational set. The highlight of the weekend for me. Sadly it seemed to me not much of the crowd really got what Nick is all about. Wish his set had been as long as bruce springsteen's!

Please tell me there are some of you out there who appreciated this genius??

also, why can I not find this set on the bbc website???

I really looked forward to seeing him. Great set of songs. Fantasticly energetic performance. Marred only by the sound engineer who thought turning it up to 11 would be a good idea. Worst sound mix on the Pyramid stage for a long time.

Note: I wasn't down at the front, The sound may have been better there.

THE highlight of the weekend for me.

We got a good position just behind the barrier (and the camped out Blur fans) and luckily we were surrounded on both sides by guys who knew his stuff.

Our mate who was at his first Glasto had never seen Nick before and said he was his highlight - he was blown away.

Chuffed to bits he shaved his moustache off for us!

Thought he was brilliant (loved hearing the Mercy Seat) but had to leave after the Weeping Song because my 10yo wasn't impressed - she judged (rightly) that his music isn't aimed at children & wanted to go to the Park to play in the sandpit that used to be the sand sculpture. Downside of taking kids too old for buggies / carrying was that I only saw the stuff I really wanted to - they wanted to be in the kidz field / green fields / circus area. Still Dead Weather, Nick Cave & Pete Doherty was pretty good going.

They were incredible! Shame it was so quiet around us though. Loads of people just sat (in their chairs of course) waiting for Blur. Fantastic that we got Weeping Song and the Ship Song. If he did No more shall we part I think I may have exploded with joy!
