I was surrounded by people waiting for Blur as well. They all started warming to them after a while though. :-)

We call upon the author and The weeping song in particular were absolutely amazing!

brilliant as always. Not sure the slot was kind to him inbetween aall the fun stuff and sing a longs. Think he should have replaced Franz Ferdinand as The Other Stage headliner maybe

Nick Cave was awesome - noticed that a lot of other people have commented on all the people sat in chairs just waiting for Blur, that was a bit annoying - they could've stood up and looked interested for a bit like...

1st off, i planned to see him but what with bon iver being amazing the night before i had to catch him again on the other - then i hap to go back to the tent to 'prepare' for prodg (if theres anything more ridiculous than a man in his mid to late 30's donning glowing wristbands, grabbing the glowsticks, and cursing the fact he forgot his uv facepaint - you let me know) so i missed him

but then, i knew i could catch him at latitude in 3 weeks where he'll be amazing

and on the b&j's front - if you think id miss a line of i am kloot into teenage fanclub into super furries - then you dont know me as well as i think you do and im deeply hurt

I grew up with my Dad playing Nick Cave so I was super excited for it...

and it blew me away! Absolutely fantastic. Stood infront of the sound tower, completely baffled at the lack of crowds...at least I had enough space to dance. There were a lot of distractions though - a girl fainted near us, and the parachuter man turned a lot of heads!

Other than that, it was the best set of the festival for me, next to Regina, Yeah Yeah yeahs, Blur and First Aid Kit!
