Similar to other threads but i had to make the point that Bon Ivers set on the other stage was absolutely beautiful.

When he played Wolves at the end i even shed a tear. Unbelievable.

Anyone else have that effect on you over the weekend?

Animal Collective blew me away on friday night. even better than i thought it would be

But although Bon Iver was good on the other stage [sunday] the set to go to was him up at the Park on saturday. Great setting, great crowd, great Wolves singalong, even a great soundman's soundcheck ["mike's mic" hahaha]

Blissful

a mention to the specials and glasvegas too

My 12 year old daughter's a big Little Boots fan - suprisingly I found myself enjoying ehat she did too - her gig was brilliant! Loads of energy, simple lyrics and basically just a bit different (plus uses a stylophone which goes down well with me being a Rolf fan!)

Who else - Ray Davies, Lancashire Hotpots, Rolf, Madness, Tom Jones (!), Madness and Blur. Loved hearing Springsteen do Dancin in the Dark cos of wayback when memories.

The King Blues in the Avalon stage. The lead singer rallied all of us with a cry of "on the count of three I want everyone to shout F**K OFF to the BNP to prove that we are not all a bunch of racists idiots and we've still got love in our hearts".

Needless to say that cry of F**K OFF nearly ripped the roof off the tent and gave me a moment where I felt proud to be human again.

Animal Collective were absolutely incredible- one of the best live acts I've ever seen. Even though there were a few songs I was hoping them to play that didn't get performed, it didn't matter at all as the set was so amazing.

What really pissed me off was that many people in the crowd booed when they didn't play an encore- if a band doesn't want to encore, just deal with it instead of showing a huge amount of disrespect to a band who had, judging by the crowd during the set, blown everyone away for the last hour.

Who blew me away? Well, firstly it was Neil Young. After watching him I remember thinking "I have never seen, in 14 Glastonbury Festivals, anyone that good!!!" I thought he was the best to ever grace any stage at the festival, and thought The Boss would have a very hard time topping it!

Then, the following night I turned up to watch Bruce. After his set I remember thinking "Forget Young, Bruce is the man!!!" Honestly, I have never seen anyone a Glastonbury as good as Bruce was that night! Not Radiohead in 97, not anyone!!! By far the best EVER!!!

So, seeing the two best acts to ever play the festival in one weekend, not bad going! Would you agree.

I would just like to add, I cannot put into words how fantastic Bruce was!!!

We don't need a Clashfinder as much as a Clashdecider. In the end I opted to skip the Pyramid and did the last night at the Acoustic. So pleased I did as saw the best two sets of the fest for me - Roger McGuinn and then Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames.

McGuinn was possibly the best guitarist of the week but also a great entertainer with wonderful stories about how The Byrds got together and dis-assembling several of their songs to show the influence of The Beatles on Byrds versions of Dylan's Mr Tambourine Man and other classics.

Georgie Fame was almost a British equivalent, great stories about working with Hendrix, Chas Chandler and Van Morrison and ending with a magnificent version of Moondance.

Other than that Neil Young and I managed to get to Jazz World for Rolf who didn't disappoint. He's got to have a Pyramid slot next time.

Springsteen was odd. Quite a lot of Bruce diehards I know (including me) were a little disappointed but loads of others I spoke to who'd not seen him before were blown away by his energy.
