Storm_NL
Sorely missed award - the Garlic place, from last year, searched all weekend for it.
pie_and_a_pint
I seem to have eaten loads this weekend! Pieminister (WOT NO MATADOR! Had the steak and blue cheese one instead and it was lovely!) Goan Fish Curry - utterly delicious Manic Organic curry with the wonderful mango chutney of win Veggie fry up in Cafe Avalon Bacon sausage and egg bap for £3 from the Sub Aqua Club Bagels from the stall next to the Queen's Head Crepes, lots and lots of crepes! Some lemon drizzle cake from a man in a tipi Some chocolate cake straight out of the clay oven in Permaculture Pizza from the yurt place near Greenpeace And I seem to have lost weight... !!! Incidentally, to all the people complaining about prices - I don't think many places had increased their costs that much - it was certainly easy enough to find cheaper stuff if you avoid the crapmongers near the main stages. Permaculture does a full meal for £3.50 and cakes for £1, for example. You'd be lucky to get a plate of chips for that near the Pyramid. Drinks do seem to be much more though - am certainly glad I took my own wine as it saved me loads. £3.80 for a pint of Gaymers in a floppy paper cup is daylight robbery, especially as it's been pre-poured and is virtually flat. clockworkpurple
I hate pre pouring too, especially in the heat. Found the Brothers bar at Jazz world to be much better on this score, well staffed, and really friendly guys too, I'm missing the strawberry cider already! Arriente
Hardly ate anything due to being f**ked on drugs for 5 days. What I did eat tasted awful. I am not a fan of festival food at all though, not a patch on home cooked grub IMO.
Lake
Springbok burger from the place between Queen's Head and Jazz that does Kangaroo and Ostrich. Definitely the tastiest thing I ate!
freddyt234
There was one mexican stand that sold Tacos... best moment of the festival I kept going back...
mjh56
Ethiopian Platter from the Magic Bubble Cafe in the Dance Village was amazing.
Aragorn
I did have a nice dose of food poisoning from the pasta stall opposite the other stage, had their special of the day veggie bol and puked and shat for the rest of the day which was nice on friday
scmusic
The jerk chicken across from the Pussy Parlure was particularly good. All I needed was a Red Stripe to wash it down. Also loved (again) the Thai Green Curry pie from Pieminister... lurvely. The Growler... well that is a beast. A guilty, guilty beast. Wasn't that impressed with the chicken & dauphinoise potatoes thing I had from Le Grand Bouffe... but may have just been a mood thing. ninjatrout
Best food I had this year... Discovered Le Grande Bouffe - Tartiflette with sausage... fantastic! Tried a few jerk chicken places, the best by far out of the ones I tried was the big jerk chicken place at the Park And for breakfast most mornings I found the nicest breakfast was the one from Henry's Beard cafe - after all the burgers and stuff it's nice to have a fried breakfast without meat on in the morning but still get all the other trimmings I found. Wish I could have taken some of those home with me!
Jutt69
Was loving my Jerk Chicken and Pies this year. (Square and Pie Minister) The Jerk place near the Leftfield (you know what I mean!) had some super hot chilli sauce that I liberally covered my food in, my gut did not like it the next day!!! I'm normally good with hot food but that was intense! The lack of Garlic Kitchen was a shame.
No F In
PIE! MASH! PEAS! GRAVY! - its all about the gravy .... ate at the king of pies stand in the dance field twice - then a third time for a suasage n mash 99 ... fab! staff and tunes were totally having fun & the vibe was almost as good as the pies - steak and chorizo! ummmm ate a meatball wrap that cost exactly the same & was sorely dissapointed - altohugh the marmite & cheese breakfast toastie with a cup of tea for only £2 was just the thing at 5.30am ... TimmyP's Mobile Disco
I seem to remember us discussing taking pictures of the food we ate so I have done that - do you want to see the pictures? Best food was definitely the Moroccan place in the Jazzworld field. I had a sausage mourek which was a filo pastry parcel filled with goats cheese and spicy lamb sausage - lovely! Worst - and this might be controversial - was the Growler. It was expensive, cold and a bit clammy not nice at all.
redmosquito
i went to the Voted The Best Hog Roast in the UK stall twice, as I did last year, because it's just SO FUKCING AMAZING! I'm gonna be craving it for the next 360-odd days too. it was the one in the market area, between the bandstand and where Garlic Kitchen (RIP) used to be. The hog roast was AMAZING, we went there twice because it was so good. In my opion there just aren't enough meals in the day to really enjoy the food at GLastonbury, I only had one bad meal and that was when i got some nachos from a stall near the pyramid stage, the liquid cheese they put on top was rank. Our other highlights were the Tapas place near the queens head, the chorizo and potatoes were top. The Restaurant that someone else mention was really good as well, really tasty food, good wine and really good prices, I think most mian course were about £8, a bargain for the quality. The Growler, need I say any more??? mmmmmm There were some great pizza places as well, the clay oven one near the pyramid was really good, perfect for refueling after the headliners and the woodfired place in the greenfields was brilliant as well! i could go on for hours about the food. 4AssedMonkey
Le Grande Bouffe do a Tartiflette with a Red Wine Sausage that was out of this world. And the french lady serving had the sexiest accent I've ever heard - especially when she asked if I wanted crunchy bits with my sausage..... Evie_Tee
The best food I discovered was sadly on Sunday and was at a little Thai place between the back of the Pyramid and Other stage. I had a Red Thai Veg Curry with sweet chilli sauce and I can say hand on heart it was one of the nicest meals I've had. Would highly recommend if they are there next year! If only I'd discovered this on the Wednesday

greenfairy43
I ate some delicious food, but I think my favourite meal was from the Thali Cafe up in the Green Fields, really late Saturday night. And their lemon drizzle cake is LUSH too!
I_am_Heather
Has anyone mentioned the beggie Paella opposite the Queenshead? Divine, and 11 different types of veg! They also did Patats Bravas with aioli and Chorizo sausage with potatoes....oh my word!!!
denwyn
I must admit i was sceptical about eating at Glastonbury, mainly due to the hygene standards, and did take a camping stove and some food, but i was overuled by my daughter who wanted to eat from the site, while i bought nothing at all from any of the junk food sellers near the main stages, i did buy lots from the greenfield area, all vegi though as its all i eat. I must say i was glad i did as most of it was excellent, and while my stomach was ok with the food i would like to see an improvment in hygene, far to much done without gloves on,and grubby looking work surfaces. but i will do it again

I_am_Heather
I got a chicken thing from there but all the chicken was on the bone which made it a bit messy.
xploit
I had quite a few welsh oggies and lamb oggies aswell as a cheese and onion pastie from there too - the blonde on the stand was quite fit and the food was great
bigjontour
I had a lamb oggie , a realy nice garlic guzzler burger at 4am on the way back from Arcadia and the best of the weekend from le grande bouffe had the chicken and dauphinaise pots and it was out of this world
