You can eat the world at Glasto, trouble is then you have to shit the world, and its not the best place to have your stomach go all experimental.

I adore spicy foreign food and eat a lot of it at home however I tended to stick to simple, tasty but fairly plain stuff like the Oggies, the Pie and Mash, occasionally ventured into the Chinese stand for a half and half mix of chicken chow mein and fried rice by the dance village.

The Tye food was excellent the best spring rolls i have ever tasted and for £6.00 this was a bargain you got a mixture of different tye foods including chicken in a coconut sauce and rice with herbs and funny looking squares parcels which where slightly curry flavour but still heaven to eat and i have to mention the frozen yogurts for just a £1.00 this was a bargain and they tasted delicious. :P

Had some lovely Jerk Chicken from a stall on the drag between the Pyramid and Other stage (was in the same place last year called Y and L's I think). As an added bonus had D&G Grape soda, which tasted like liquid Hubba Bubba as they'd sold out of Ginger beer, it was proper bo I tell thee.

On a related note, did anyone find the Hummingbird cafe this year? I don't think it was where it normally is, on the edge of the Other stage field. I arranged to meet the Wife & Son there only to find it was gone, very disappointing.

This was my 1st time at Glasto (been to many other smaller festivals). I was well impressed with the food. Though I tend to err on the side of caution and stick to conservative choices as its not really the right environment to experiment. As for prices I think they were about right given that many of the stalls were open for extended hours and staff need wages etc. I'm now beginning to understand why people come back year after year if not to experience the music, you would surely need a year to sample all the food.

:D

I had the yummiest chickpea daal from the Goan seafood company for £5, so that comes in at 1st place

2nd place I think goes to a vegetable tikka baguette I had somewhere or other for breakfast, mmmmm

3rd place goes to the huge spring roll I got for £1.50 at the spring roll place.

Honourable mention should go to the places which sold me my many millions of chip portions and to the place I bought a mushroom roll on monday morning which was lush!

I only managed about one meal a day most days which is rubbish when there's so many amazing places to try.. too busy drinking and stuff!

But I had the Goan Massala fish from jazzworld twice which was lovely.

Pie Minister - ace as always but shamew they didnt have the lamb or the matador pies this year.

Had No Bones Jones mix of different daals and stuff which was ace.

Also the lovely moroccan place thats on one of the lower roads in the greenfields.. they do a tagine with salads type thing.. really nice!

Wish I'd spotted the lemon drizzle cake at Thali cafe.. I'm reight into cakes at the moment.. Had a cupcake from the swallow bakery in Trash city, which was nice but not out of this world.
