The Nal
They should cancel Glasto, its so bad. Just let everyone go to V or T in the Park. Or Spain even, it doesnt rain there!! If they are going to have another Glasto, they shouldn't book any acts as they'll all be shit.
mimis
every single point in your post was present last year.. yes, the bad is bad, but there is still plenty of good & moaning ain't gonna help.x
newagehippie
..... Those saying that there was a Reading crowd there this year..... Have you ever been to reading! It was nothing alike. Glasto was wicked, only downside was the sound at rolf.... FAR to quiet.
sh4rpie
im just saying that glasto seems to have forgotten its roots. I have been going every year for years and it shocked me this year. i still had a good time as always (these thoughts are more retrospective) but it just wasnt what its about. Maybe there are people on here that agree with me, or perhaps im on my own but it seemes that there was a lack of something this year, i just cant quite put my finger on what. there are always some idiots there, but to me it seemed that there were more incidents this year that i hate to see at glasto (glass, violence, antisocial pricks, thefts etc). From what ive experienced over the years this is not what THIS festival is/was about, and it always seemed that these problems were more prevalent at reading, leeds, T etc. But now it seems glasto has been affected too, it may change next year though. only my experience this year, im sure others had the time of their lives. edit: yes ive been to reading Edited June 30, 2009 by sh4rpie

IamChappu
I have been going for many years now and all I can say is that every year there are things that I think weren't too good/didn't like/prefer how it used to be etc etc but overall it is still the best festival and the good far outweighs the bad. Oh and some changes are for the better too. Yes the increase in flags/chairs bugs me, the stone circle isn't quite what it used to be, the one way system is annoying (but neccessary), the security are thugs, the outdoor cinema not being there is wrong..........but I accept that things do/have to change. If I don't like something, I avoid it (ie taking the shortcut at the back of Dragons to the Williams field instead of suffering the one-way system) - not everything in life goes the way I want it to (though it should! ) Also think that people have a right to say bad things about Glastonbury....thought we lived in a time of free(ish) speech?
