Tent Allowence At V...Help!

Hi guys...

I already own a four man tent - but there is only two of us planning on sleeping in it...will this be a problem??

This will save us a fortune by not having to buy a new tent that will probably never get used again!!

Is there any rules to the max capacity at V?? Everyone Ive spoken to said this shouldnt be a problem...but when I look at previous pictures there seems to be streams of bog standard 2 man type tents...I just wanted advice from a V regular so I don't end up having to sleep in a feild tentless due to jobsworth sercuity & silly rules!!

We're in the Red site if that makes any difference??

a 4 person tent between 2 of you won't be a problem at all... i dont think there are any rules with regards to tent size as such but just a bit of common sense. taking a 6 man tent on your own may be a bit OTT.

I think the reasdon you see so many little 2 person tents is cos they're generally cheaper and people who camp on their own use them

That will be fine, hon . . . they don't ask you when you enter what size tent you have nor do they come round and inspect how many people you have in it. The only thing that they don't let you put up are gazebos . . . but I'm sure I saw a few of those last year!

Yeah that will be fine so don't worry. It makes more sense to have a tent slightly bigger so you have more room. I (and all my mates) tend to take a two man tent each just for the added comfort. They couldn't possibly check who is sleeping where and in what etc. and no restriction has ever been mentioned.

I guess they may have issues if you turned up with a circus big top, however that would equally be very cool!!!
